Well, that's an opinion based on my experience. Like most of the audience, I was attracted to the series by tags and title. Being joined, they bring out an opinion: just another fan service anime with a lack of comedy, what can be understood even better from ratings. I needed something to relax, I didn't see that title - then what stops me now? Often judgements must be made independently. And it wasn't a miscalculation this time.
And... here's the most important correction. If you are looking for a plot to immerse yourself into (I mean consistent events that just force you to open the next episode to see what will happen to our beloved heroes next) just pass by. You won't find it here, assuredly. Well, it's somehow makes sense, it's not a widespread phenomenon - anime about everyday life with immersing plot. However, that definition has a deeper sense here.
To start with a certain explanation, I will tell the most reflecting it thing: this site actually doesn't show this, but this anime has R+ rating. Well, considering fan service part it doesn't seems illogical. And now, shockwave: this rating was only added for a ONE shower scene during several minutes. Across all 12 episodes. Seems commercially ineffective, right? That's an exact definition. For the first time, you will see some everyday life of school girls. Wait a bit more, and the whole world order of this product will make itself felt. Interracial problems, change of history, based on different species, politics... Can't tell you more to prevent spoilers, but really, really often you will think: hey, stop, we are in an usual fan service about school girls, why are we discussing... this? And God you will be right.
Author doesn't care about how the audience sees the whole painting. He doesn't care about genres. He just shows what he wants to show. When his thought goes out of the basic narrative, he shows it's flight completely and only then comes back. Was I sometimes bored? Definitely. Have I seen some mistakes or logical inconsistencies? Not some I remember about. And for me, it's a quite rare and precious situation.
Now, that seems to be a sufficient explanation. If you think it's not, I repeat again, just pass by. This anime won't lose anything from it, like, it's obvious. I just wanted to attract those who, like me, loves author's original idea, but isn't brave enough to watch something with such low rating. Hope this helps.
P. S. English isn't my native so... I just can't see mistakes of they are. Sorry on that.
