The series is based on real events.
In the second series "The Night Stalker" (2021) the investigation was carried out by the Metropolitan Police. However none of the uniformed police wear Met police uniforms, markings or insignia. A police car is marked "Greater London Police" an entirely fictional force name, often used in film and TV productions.
