Bone Lake isn’t just a fun name. For this slow-burn psychological thriller, it’s a promise. Following two couples stuck together in a lavish rental home after a booking error, the husbands jokingly argue whether the lake is named after a local Urban Legend about a serial killer or a guarantee that everyone who stays gets laid. But Bone Lake director Mercedes Bryce-Morgan (Spoonful of Sugar) thankfully asks: Why not both?
Directing from a screenplay by Joshua Friedlander (Holly Slept Over), Mercedes Bryce Morgan’s new thriller deals with the messy, complicated issues that sour long term relationships. Diego & Sage (portrayed by Marco Pigossi & Maddie Hasson) are struggling with the mounting pressure of a single income, now what Diego has quit his teaching position to pursue writing full time. They’re hoping that a secluded weekend getaway will help them reconnect…which is exactly what Will &Cinn (Alex Rose...

Following the success of their years-long partnership that spawned seven original films including Natalie Morales’ “Plan B” and “Crush,” Hulu Originals has renewed its first look deal with comedy production company American High. Jason Zaro (“Brigsby Bear”) will serve as co-producer across the new slate of films for Hulu.
The renewed partnership comes on the heels of the successful release of “It’s a Wonderful Binge” in November 2022, which starred Kaitlin Olson, Danny Trejo, Nick Swardson, Tim Meadows. The movie serves as a sequel to the first Hulu original comedy under the American High banner, “The Binge,” which featured Vince Vaughn, Skyler Gisondo, Eduardo Franco, Dexter Darden.
Coming up, Hulu will release the eighth film on American High’s original slate, “Miguel Wants to Fight,” a coming of age comedy about a 17-year-old who asks his three best friends to help him get in his first fight ever before he moves to a new city.

"It's not about Holly! This is about us." Sony has released an official trailer for a quirky, funky comedy titled Holly Slept Over, which is premiering straight-to-vod in early March coming up. This is one of those fantasies-yet-reality films about a husband who learns that his wife once slept with her college roommate. The story also explores their relationship struggles while trying to conceive, their friends who have lost their spark, and the tension that ensues when an old college roommate stays over for the weekend. Starring Josh Lawson, Nathalie Emmanuel, Britt Lower, Erinn Hayes, and Ron Livingston. This comedy looks a bit better than average, but still plenty cheesy, plus we've seen plenty of stories like this before. Take a look. Here's the first official trailer (+ poster) for Joshua Friedlander's Holly Slept Over, direct from YouTube: When Audra (Britt Lower) confesses to her husband (Josh Lawson) that...

Exclusive: Hulu has acquired the Pete Davidson film Big Time Adolescence in a deal we hear is worth $4M.
The coming-of-age pic, based on Jason Orley’s Black List script, reps his directorial debut and follows a teenage boy (Griffin Gluck) in his dull suburban town under the destructive guidance of his best friend, a charismatic college dropout (Davidson). Sydney Sweeney (The Handmaid’s Tale), Colson Baker aka Machine Gun Kelly (The Dirt), Thomas Barbusca (The Mick), Emily Arlook (Grown-ish), Oona Laurence (A Bad Moms Christmas) and Jon Cryer (Two and a Half Men) also star. The pic made its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival back in January and clocked an immediate 90% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes with Davidson earning high praise for his strong performance in his first leading role.
Big Time Adolescence is the fourth feature from American High, a newly formed partnership between Jeremy Garelick and Mickey Liddell’s Ld Entertainment.

Britt Lower has been cast in the ABC drama pilot “Until the Wedding,” Variety has learned.
She joins previously announced cast members Olivia Thirlby and E.J. Bonilla
Based on the Israeli format, the project tells the story of how one couple’s decision to get married can affect everyone in their lives. The show will explore the intimate relationships of a group of friends and family as they are forced to reckon with their own romantic lives and come to terms with the realities of love and marriage.
Lower will play Naomi, Adrienne’s (Thirlby) roommate and best friend. Described as defiantly single, defiant in general, there’s nothing Naomi loves more than a good fight. Smart, uncensored, very funny, Naomi’s an up- and-coming writer with a new book of essays that’s getting serious traction. Though Naomi would say anything to anyone, there are very few people she truly lets in.
