Drew Starkey’s credits include roles in Love, Simon; Scream: The TV Series, The Devil All the Time, The Terminal List, and Queer, but he’s probably best known for playing the role of Rafe Cameron on the Netflix series Outer Banks – and now, Deadline is reporting that Starkey is the latest actor to join the cast of the action thriller Onslaught, which is coming our way from director Adam Wingard and screenwriter Simon Barrett.
Fresh off the success of Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire and with Face/Off 2 in development, Wingard and Barrett are returning to their roots with Onslaught, as the project is said to be “in the vein of their cult classics like The Guest and You’re Next.“

Outer Banks star Drew Starkey joins James Bond actor Daniel Craig in Luca Guadagnino’s upcoming romance film Queer and we’re crossing our fingers his character will get a much better story and deserving ending. He plays Eugene Allerton, a discharged American Navy serviceman and drug user.

Knowing the works of Guadagnino, fans should expect lots of melancholic scenes, but this is definitely much better than what Starkey’s minor character suffered in Netflix’s The Devil All The Time.

Queer is Drew Starkey’s biggest movie role yet, and he is collaborating with two of the biggest names in the industry. He stars opposite Daniel Craig’s William Lee, who gets infatuated with his charismatic yet mysterious character.

Some things in life are just certain. Death. Taxes. Robert Pattinson affecting a weird accent in a movie. So, which ones are his absolute weirdest? The competition is pretty tough, if I'm being honest.
Pattinson's accent work isn't just some running bit; as he told Terry Gross and NPR in 2019, it's an essential part of his process. After saying that he and his friends spent their childhoods listening to American rap music and mimicking the accents, Pattinson continued, "And still to this day, I mean, whenever I'm doing a movie or a character in an English accent, I mean, I find -- I literally feel like I'm naked. And I can't -- I'm incapable of doing my normal voice in a character. It just doesn't come out at all. It's -- every single time I read something, the first thing to change is -- has something to do with my voice.

Plot details on Nolan's latest film are being kept under wraps, but the film is rumored to be an action film and The Hollywood Reporter claims the setting is not present day. However, whether the film is set in the past or in the future remains a mystery.

Tom Holland had tasted fame at an unprecedented level at a very early age. For the British star, Hollywood was his playground sandbox and movies were his medium of first expression. But with such an exposed world also comes its pitfalls which, in the case of Tinsel Town, often claim a very steep price.
In the years since his Marvel fame, Holland found the price was asking too much of his sanity, peace, and mental health. His function as a celebrity in modern society was getting increasingly demanding, from signing autographs and taking pictures to bearing the brunt of dissenting fans and tabloids who could not comprehend his need to log out of social media.

Tom Holland’s Spider-Man has a very weird place in the Marvel universe, in that he’s a character that’s being loaned out to Marvel by Sony Pictures—who owns the rights to Spider-Man and all the characters associated with him.
Though Spider-Man gets to appear in his own movies and make cameos in team-up films like Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War, it looks like he could be showing up a bit more down the line—that is, if this rumor turns out to be true.

Tom Holland may have started late as an actor when he made his film debut in 2012 with The Impossible, but he didn’t take long to launch to extraordinary heights of love and fame in fans’ hearts. While his tenure in the MCU as the fan-favorite Spider-Man was one to boost his career, the actor hasn’t hesitated to let his brilliance be known in other projects as well.

But after a decade since he professionally jumped into this profession, it seems like Holland’s movie star status might as well be on the line. This is because his movies outside the web-slinger’s universe don’t quite seem to perform all that well, especially in critics’ eyes. If anything, fans even deem his upcoming reported project to be his “last chain” to retain that status.

A series set inside the prison Arkham Asylum within Matt Reeves’ “The Batman” universe will no longer move forward for Max, an individual with knowledge of the decision told IndieWire.
Antonio Campos, the director known for “Christine,” “The Devil All the Time,” and the Max series “The Staircase,” was previously tapped to be showrunner and director of the Arkham Asylum series. However, Campos is no longer involved, and his version of the series will not come to pass. The individual says it’s possible a different Arkham Asylum series could still happen down the road, including one set within the universe established by Reeves’ film. But Campos’ version is dead.
A rep for Max had no comment.
Three different writer/directors have been brought onto the Arkham Asylum series dating back to 2020, with Campos joining in 2022 back when the Warner Bros. Discovery streamer was still called HBO Max, and just...

That sweet and innocent-looking friendly neighborhood Spider-Man guy from Marvel, who rampaged about spilling spoilers during interviews out of excitement, seems to be gone now. Looking at Tom Holland in the latest look for his Romeo & Juliet play seems a lot different than his usual happy-go-lucky ones. In fact, he feels completely different after witnessing him with his on-stage love interest for the play, Francesca Amewudah-Rivers.
Tom Holland in a still from The Devil All The Time.
However, fans aren’t clamoring in support of this duo, especially for their pairing up for the stage as the iconic couple from Shakespeare’s lore. This comes after the first look images of Holland and Amewudah-Rivers as their respective characters were released, which, unarguably, have been garnering quite a bit of sarcastic and terribly negative reviews and backlash from fans.

On April 5th, 20th Century Studios gave a theatrical release to The First Omen, which serves as a prequel to the 1976 horror classic The Omen (watch it Here) – and the movie was surprisingly well-received, with JoBlo’s own Chris Bumbray giving it an 8/10 review and Tyler Nichols writing an article about why it works so well. The movie hasn’t been burning up the box office charts; made on a budget of $30 million, it has only pulled in $36 million so far. But if a sequel were to get the greenlight, director Arkasha Stevenson knows one subject she would want to cover in the follow-up: the mystery of the jackal.
In the original The Omen, we were told that the Antichrist was born of a jackal. The First Omen digs deeper into his parentage, letting us know that it wasn’t quite as simple (although very strange) as it appeared to be in the original movie,...

The audience’s perception of the actor has been solidified with his standalone movies, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Far From Home, and No Way Home. There is no doubt that he is indeed one of the finest young actors in the entertainment industry currently.

Jake Gyllenhaal is not bouncing from Amazon MGM Studios after “Road House.” The actor’s Nine Stories production company has closed a three-year first-look film deal with Amazon MGM Studios. The arrangement gives Amazon the right of first-refusal on narrative features by Nine Stories; it applies to both theatrical and streaming. It sounds exactly like the deal Amazon just signed Ryan Gosling to all of six days ago.

Amazon MGM Studios has closed a three-year first-look film deal with Jake Gyllenhaal’s Nine Stories following the rousing success of his movie Road House on Prime Video, which was the most watched original movie for the studio ever with 50 million global viewers in the pic’s first two weeks.
Under the actor’s new deal, Amazon MGM will have a first look on narrative features Nine Stories intends to produce for both theatrical and streaming.
Prior to the Doug Liman-directed Road House, Gyllenhaal made the movie Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant with Amazon MGM. The pic was released last year in theaters.
Oscar- and Tony-nominated Gyllenhaal founded Nine Stories in 2015 with Riva Marker, a fully capitalized production company dedicated to working with visionary storytellers in all fields. Most recently, Nine Stories produced Antoine Fuqua’s The Guilty, starring Gyllenhaal, which was Netflix’s No. 1 film for more than three weeks.

After Wonka and Dune Part Two, it seems like Timothée Chalamet is shaping up to become Hollywood’s next leading man, rivaling the likes of Leonardo Di Caprio and Tom Cruise during thier younger days. The actor has left his mark on the box office, causing studios to look at the young actor as a bankable talent who is worth signing for bigger-budget films.
Timothée Chalamet as Paul Atreides in Dune: Part One.
On the other hand, Tom Holland, despite bringing in a considerable amount of money playing Spider-Man, has been unable to stick the landing with films and franchises outside of the MCU, such as the Uncharted series. It seems that despite being a part of bigger box office premieres than Chalamet, Holland will be easily eclipsed by him when it comes to a paycheck.

Timothée Chalamet and Austin Butler are currently riding high on the success of Dune: Part Two. The two actors put on their A-Game and presented impeccable performances as Paul Atreides and Feyd-Rautha. Even before this film, the actors have been proving their mettle as actors in various films throughout their career.

The two actors including Tom Holland, are among the best actors of the current generation. While Chalamet and Butler have mostly focused on dramas and receiving awards nominations, Holland’s career has been recognized for his huge commercial successes in the MCU. Holland might be the more popular star of the three but the other two have an achievement that he craves for an actor.

Robert Pattinson, one of the most talented English actors, embarked on his acting journey when he was 15. After playing supporting roles in the German made-for-television film Ring of the Nibelungs in 2004 and Mira Nair’s costume drama Vanity Fair, he landed the role of Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire in 2005.
The role of Cedric Diggory helped Robert Pattinson earn recognition in the industry. Then came his portrayal of Edward Cullen in The Twilight Saga, based on Stephenie Meyer’s eponymous novel series. Although this role gained him worldwide recognition, the actor is not very fond of it. In 2022, he finally got the chance to portray the DC Comics superhero Batman and might be reprising his role sooner than fans had expected.

Tom Holland will star as Romeo in a new version of Romeo & Juliet in the West End this spring.
The play will be directed by Jamie Lloyd, the director of the retooled Sunset Boulevard, starring Nicole Scherzinger, as well as the minimalist versions of A Doll’s House starring Jessica Chastain and Betrayal, starring Tom Hiddleston, on Broadway. Additional casting for the production, which calls itself a “pulsating new vision of Shakespeare’s immortal tale of wordsmiths, rhymers, lovers and fighters,” has not yet been announced.
Before landing the role of Spider-Man in the Marvel films, Holland made a name for himself as one of the young stars of Billy Elliot: The Musical in the West End. He most recently appeared in the Apple TV+ series The Crowded Room, and has starred in films including Uncharted, opposite Mark Wahlberg, and The Devil All the Time and Cherry.

For a first feature, Grant Singer could certainly do worse than Reptile. The question remains whether Netflix is capable of allowing anything better than routine potboiler material to fill their trove of originally produced and distributed films. Much of the streamer studio’s output has been heavily underwhelming and this latest offering is no different, the only adhesive element Benicio Del Toro’s natural screen gravitas. When he plays a cop or detective, like his Oscar-winning turn in Steven Soderberg’s Traffic or Denis Villeneuve’s Sicario, it’s basically a cheat code.
Grant Singer’s best directorial decision in a film filled with clumsy ones is giving Del Toro as much real estate as possible, in many occasions having the entire screen filled by his visage––sad, squinted, glaring eyes look right at you through the dead-center of the frame. His voice, raspy and exhausted-sounding, talking under breath nearly the whole time,...

A year and a half ago, we heard that M. Night Shyamalan was producing the thriller The Vanishings at Caddo Lake, which was being directed by the duo of Celine Held and Logan George – who made their feature directorial debut with the 2020 drama Topside and went on to direct episodes of Shyamalan’s Apple TV+ series Servant. That movie, which now has the shorter title Caddo Lake, still doesn’t have a release date… but it does have a rating. The Motion Picture Association’s ratings board has given Caddo Lake a PG-13 for some disturbing/bloody images, thematic elements, and brief strong language.
Shyamalan has only made two R-rated movies (The Happening and Knock at the Cabin), so it’s not surprising to hear that this Shyamalan-produced project has earned a PG-13.
Held and George wrote the screenplay for the film, crafting the following story: When an 8-year-old girl mysteriously vanishes on Caddo Lake,...

Occasionally, actors take on a role that gets its hooks in them and doesn't completely untether once shooting is over. It's happened to some of the best performers on the planet, and it apparently happened to Tom Holland while playing Danny Sullivan in the upcoming Apple TV+ crime miniseries "The Crowded Room."
If that title sounds familiar, it's because the project has been kicking around since the early 1990s. Based on Daniel Keyes' nonfiction book "The Minds of Billy Milligan," which details the criminal exploits of a serial rapist afflicted with dissociative identity disorder, the project was nearly James Cameron's follow-up to "Terminator 2: Judgment Day." John Cusack was originally cast in the lead, and Cameron was preparing to shoot before a series of lawsuits (some filed by Milligan himself) derailed the production.

This post contains spoilers for "John Wick: Chapter 4."
"John Wick" is our greatest modern action franchise, but the movies have become more and more complicated as they have progressed, and some of the plot points in Chad Stahelski's "John Wick: Chapter 4" will only resonate with those who were taking notes in the last few chapters.
But the basics are all one really needs to follow the films: "John Wick" takes place in a fantasy universe where a measurable percentage of the human population are professional assassins. To accommodate them all, a complex underground society has formed, complete with its own bylaws and codes of honor. Assassins can gather in specially designated hotels where murder is off limits, and where they will be connected with sommeliers and tailors who will feed and dress them well, but also provide high-tech firearms and formal ware that is also bulletproof.

A sequel to Taylor Sheridan's Wyoming reservation-set thriller "Wind River" is in the works, and it officially has a cast attached. Scott Eastwood, Jason Clarke, and Chaske Spencer have all boarded "Wind River: The Next Chapter," with "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier" filmmaker Kari Skogland set to direct.
The original 2017 film starred Jeremy Renner and Elizabeth Olsen as a Fish and Wildlife agent and an FBI agent who are partnered together to solve a potential homicide involving a Native American teen girl. While the movie was well-made and spotlighted the endemic, underrepresented issue of missing and murdered Indigenous women, "Wind River" also received criticism for the way some viewers say Sheridan — a white man whose works, including "Yellowstone," often feature Indigenous characters — sensationalized on-screen violence against Native women.

Mia Wasikowska seemed to be everywhere at one point. Starting in 2010, the young actress was on a seemingly unending spree of plum roles in indie films and studio products alike, from Cary Fukunaga’s “Jane Eyre” to “Alice in Wonderland” and “The Kids Are All Right,” “Maps to the Stars,” Tracks,” “Stoker,” and “Crimson Peak.” But it seemed to stop when Tim Burton’s “Wonderland” sequel “Alice Through the Looking Glass” sputtered, a financial bleed-out for Disney that also took a critical beating, though not for Wasikowska’s performance. A not unheard-of phenomenon then occurred: A once in-demand, ubiquitous performer suddenly seemed to have vanished.
Well, the Australian actress never went away, exactly — she just stepped out of the limelight. “I want to do more things in life other than be in a trailer,” she told IndieWire in a recent interview discussing her new film “Blueback,” an endearing eco-conscious message...

Years after playing Dudley Dursley in the "Harry Potter" franchise, Harry Melling now finds himself a consistent collaborator with Joel and Ethan Coen. The actor appeared in one of the short films featured in "The Ballad of Buster Scruggs," before reuniting with one half of the Coen Brothers for "The Tragedy of Macbeth."
