Naya Rivera first joined the series as a favor to the producers. This was her last live action project before her tragic death on July 2020. For the 3rd season of the series, Rivera was replaced by Christina Milian.
Jade Chynoweth was a well known YouTube dancer before this series and Carlito Olivero was a contestant on X Factor USA season 2.
