Sammo Kam-Bo Hung was the original choice for a supporting role in the movie but the idea was scrapped and Jing Wong himself filled in the role instead.
The movie makes comedic reference to two Donnie Yen films, Flash Point (2007) and SPL: Sha Po Lang aka Kill Zone (2005).
Sammo hung has a film from 1978 with the same name both are a nod and tribute to Bruce Lee's enter the dragon
