This film captures very well the feelings of living in a country that was part of another (Yugoslavia) and that lived for many years under a strong totalitarian regime. You can feel the fear, the way that what is said by the authorities cannot be contested in any way. Brilliant performance by Snezana Bogdanovic!

Ana lives with her husband Jovan and Ivana, their daughter. Many years ago, Ana gave birth to a boy. After the birth, Ana was told that her and Jovan´s son had died. Ana believes that their son is alive. She really wants to find him. But neither the hospital staff nor the police want to help her.
I´m really struggling trying to understand how they, as participants, are totally okay with kidnapping newborn babies. Can those people sleep well at night? Are they proud of themselves? How and when do they choose the next victim?
I would have liked to get much more answers, maybe in the form of a flashback? I really think that this movie has a very heavy story. "Stitches" isn´t a comedy if you ask me. I see a drama with a good strength. And yes, I can recommend this movie.

The heroine, Snezana Bogdanovic (Ana), does an excellent job in portraying a mother's anguish for her missing son. There are subtleties in her performance that make her loss very convincing. It also showed how frightening it is to go against a corrupt government that takes what they want to gain money. I enjoyed this film.

I'm the mother of a missing baby. I know this is a feature film but I was disappointed. Only Snezana Bogdanovic's suffering is present. Everything else that we all go through for decades has not been touched. Was expecting a lot more from this topic, my family and I.

A very cursory film, I'm surprised by the awards has won. Boring, empty, slow. And the story is exciting and I expected much more from both the director and Snezana Bogdanovic. Production is average, everything else is below average.
