My son loves season 1. Good characters, great music and a compelling (if maybe melodramatic story). Season 2 was was worse with taking a good season 1 character and ruining them and changing from a story-driven show to a 'bungling bad guys do x' each episode. Disappointing. Season was definitely an 8. Season is a 3-4.

The plot and music of the first season are great, and the characters are also very good, such as Duke, while the second episode is diametrically opposite, the character is a mess, Duke directly changed from a handsome and strong character to an idiot, and the musical plot is completely inferior to the previous season, obviously for children, and when they grow up, they will definitely not watch it a second time, it feels like an adult watching "The Great Achievement of the Woof Team", and the first season will not. That's why I have a bad review. I think the first season can be rated 10 points, while the second season only has 1 point.
I actually used to enjoy watching this with my son (3) because it had a story to follow and he loved it! ( and so did I 😀) Then season 2 come on and it's like they've completely switched it with the same characters to a paw patrol theme like bad guy does this - good guys fixed it- bad guys apologise type thing 👎

Season One was an animation (drawings) while Season Two is completely computer generated ... doesn't have the same feel. The storyline for season 2 isn't has good, either. The Theme song changed to some HORRIBLE ballad over the catchy child-friendly tune from the first Season. I don't know how or why you take a show that everyone loves and totally make it worst! Season One I rank a 10, Season Two is a 0, so averaged is a 5.
This show is currenly the kids flavor of the month (ages 2.5 & 4)
I watch a lot of kids shows and this is far from enjoyable for parents. They watched season 1 but commented that some episodes were too scary. Season 2 is more friendly to younger viewers.
Why don't the railers have noses?

My children hated this ... they were looking forward to a continuation of the 1st season. The CGI is bland, story lines pointless, and no real flavor. Duke isn't fearful or strong and the thrill is gone.
I hate it when people decide to put zero effort into a show because they aren't as enthusiastic to create quality content for younger kids because they think those kids will never notice.
This show made my daughter cry. We both loved season 1. The drama. The suspense. When season 2 happened, she cried so much because her favourite show was reduced to something a bit more trashy. Wpuld not recommend.

While looking for something for my 3 year old, since he likes trains, this seemed like a reasonable choice. Instead, it turned out to be another Korean show with fighting and violence. Maybe worth watching if skipping straight to season 2.
Robot Trains Season 1 and Season 2 are very different - same characters, but the storylines are more TV G in Season 2. I don't let kiddo watch Season 1 by himself - themes are too adult. It's practically a soap opera.

In 2018, I started watching this as a 6 year old. I was very fine with that. I didn't cry. I thinked of anime before. This inspired it with 3d animation and fighting. When the second season arrive, I loved it! I imagined that there's no fighting. It teaches moral lessons, but the characters look like "Transformers" in both seasons. Give 1st season 10/10. Give 2nd Season 9/10. The first Season looks like a Y7 or C8 rating, while The second one gives a Y or C one, which it's for babies. The second season looks like Paw Patrol because the X team cause ruckuses, but the RT solved it and now, the X Family learns the lesson.
