I watched the movie on the home video release. My Ex and Whys make much more sense with the deleted and extended scenes. Some (of the most) important parts were cut. Throughout the movie, it felt like some pieces were missing and that they just jump scenes. The picture was also inconsistent. An example is when Cali and Gio were under the trees in Nami Island, Cali's shot were in a crisp slow motion. While Gio's shot was in normal speed. The slow motion were also shot inconsistenty; some shots were crisp with like 1000FPS and some were 15FPS and both frame rates were made into slow motion. And we all hate that slow frame rate and slow motion combination. Blurriness is just... ugh! The story itself was kind of an extension of ideas. Yes, it was long, but, no, the ideas are not original. Screenplay is slightly better than most Filipino movies because of some originality there, but most of the screenplay are recycled lines (like the story). I just hope Filipinos just step up their plots soon enough! The picture and the actors starring will not save the movie every time. In this case, because the picture was a bit of an "upgrade" than other Filipino movies, I give it a 3. Acting has become very cheesy too, but hey, what's a Filipino movie without being cheesy?!
