I honestly love this show. It's right up my alley. I love extreme weather and all things associated with it. A viral clips show about extreme weather is the perfect thing to keep my attention these days. It's something the whole family can enjoy too.
Having different types of experts view and review the clips keeps it fun and entertaining while also learning. Watch it with your kids, they can learn while watching "viral" videos. Probably not many chances to do that these days while watching television. There are definitely some "life lessons" to be learned as well! What are you doing still reading this? Just go watch it!

I really like to see this kind of "documentaries" and this one shows amazing, and extremely scary, situations. A good way to see, not only, how strong Mother Nature can be, but amazing rescues, and brave people willing to risk their life to save others.
And the quiz and curiosities are also a good "touch".
Unfortunately, the people commenting the events shown are an unfortunate piece here. Some of there comments (and the way they talk), many times, are ridiculous, completely sensationalist, which, in my opinion, spoils the program.
Also, i can't understand the logic of a show called "Weather gone viral" showing situations which has nothing to do with the purpose of it.
I like it, but those points I mentioned were avoidable.

As far as I'm concerned, just show me the bleepin' clips and shut up. Or let a narrator describe them. In a normal tone of voice, without the unnecessary drama. So much over-the-top hoopla. Everything has to be a song-and-dance spectacle these days, poisoned with lashings of moronic Millennial humour.
What I don't need, at all, is "meteorologists" making stupid comments, even cheesy wisecracks employing crappy word-play for example. Or saying the bleedin' obvious such as "I'd hate to have to move through that fog". Yeah, it's dense, because that's what fogs do: they make things difficult, and 99% of the viewership know why. We know what a damn fog is, so don't describe one to us - especially when we'd just been shown footage of it a few seconds earlier.
We not only have to listen to the cornily scripted "opinions" of probably as many as a dozen of these "celeb meteorologists", but the camera actually shows them every time they open their mouths to say something useless, boring or unfunny. WHY must we be subjected to their faces? Since when do these people matter so much? If they were real meteorologists, and I mean serious professionals busy engaged in important things such as trying to save lives and property, wouldn't they be too busy with that stuff to appear on such trashploitationary shows, cracking dumb jokes?
But I do pose dumb questions. These are millennial and Xer meteorologists, hence not to be confused with the earlier generations who weren't such clowns...
Even worse is their persistent grinning. They're told to treat this as a comedy-clips show! Even when a clip involves people or animals being endangered or hurt by extreme weather conditions, these buffoons are smiling, grinning, being happy-go-lucky as if they're doing a Teletubby commentary for toddlers.
What is it with these new "documentaries" anyway? Everything has to be dumbed-down, cheapened, made more commercial. "Bring on the dancing elephants and the half-cow half-lady! The disasters clips themselves aren't enough!" Not that a cheesy show such as this can be even referred to as a documentary, not in a serious way anyway. Everything these days on these "documentary" channels can be divided into four categories: political propaganda programs (usually about "climate change"), staged "reality" shows that resemble sitcoms and soap-operas far more than actual reality, phony anti-science shows about aliens/ghosts/Yeti, and goofy laugh-it-up clip shows. There is absolutely no question that this dumbing-down is an organized, concerted effort, not a result of some spontaneous decadence. It is completely intentional, and the intention is to turn the sheep into complete and utter mindless zombies. It is frightening how quickly this has been achieved, because most people are now just that: compliant, non-questioning zombies who believe every word they're served by the deranged Establishment.
National Geographic used to be a serious brand, just as Disney was, Discovery, and a host of others. Now that they'd all been thoroughly cretinized we can't expect anything from them, anything thoroughly stupid. Take a wild guess who is behind that?

This show has become a feeble shell of its former self. At least 50% of the content from "Weather Gone Viral" literally has nothing whatsoever to do with actual WEATHER but instead are more like "viral videos" to laugh at. Tonight I just watched my very LAST episode of this "well past its prime" sorry excuse of a TV show, it was S7 E7 titled "Mudslide Devastation" and I was so disgusted by the irrelevant non-weather related dumping ground of miscellaneous video clutter, that I vowed to never tune in again. It's almost as if the producers have made a conscious decision to throw out the word "weather" in the show's title, and replace it with "nature videos" instead. Don't believe me? Here are just a few of the video segments from tonight's laughingstock of an episode, again, of the show that is titled WEATHER Gone Viral:
- a trapeze artist on high-heels walking across a canyon, on a clear sunny day
- a beached whale being rescued, in perfect sunny weather
- a man who dives into Lake Michigan every day for a year
- a bear being chased off a patio by a teenage girl
- a bridge & groom going on a wedding-themed jet-pack trip on a lake
- a daredevil bicyclist doing stunts on a dangerous cliff-side path
- a man who water-skis using ping-pong paddles for his feet.
