Season 1 with Amanda Collins started out looking like something new and different. Dark, disturbing, not slick and professional, but unique.
Season 2 with a new Venture (St. Cartier) is a total sellout. Some semi-pro production company got involved and turned it into the same old TV schlock. Not only is the new Venture character totally terrible and unconvincing, the writers can't seem to remember from one scene to the next what the story-line is, the attempt at a back-story is pathetic....I could go on.
Watch Season 1 for what it is, an edgy concept. Don't waste your time on Season 2 unless Season 1 took you so far out of your comfort zone that you need to be reassured that everything that's bad about series TV will stay the same forever.
