The first word for define it seems original. Its originality is the contribution of fair mix between some Horla by Guy de Maupassant, Gothic stories in Russian manner, inspired performance of Chris Allan Evans and honest portrait of paranoid schizofrenia . A man, a voice, the phone call of his medic and the phone call of his mother, the try to escape by obsssion and illusions, his loneliness and the suicide attempt. Nothing original but well crafted.
In short, pretty charming horror, especially for the atmosphere and admirable performance, for realism and the smart use of chain of references.
