Den Dagen (That Day) is dedicated to producer Michael Ringdal's mom. She came to him with a song called "Den Store Dagen" by Benny Borg. She said that Michael should make a movie out of the song. Michael's mom passed away in 2015, so he decided to make a movie inspired by the song.
Michael asked Åsmund Brede Eike to write the screenplay and direct Den Dagen (That Day) on the story he had written. Den Dagen (That Day) won the best screenplay & best actress Line Beck at the Woodengate international film festival. Den Dagen (That Day) came second as the best film in the same festival.
In Den Dagen (That Day), Line Beck plays against her son Jeppe Beck Laursen. Edit's Apartment is owned by the mother of Åsmund Brede Eike. Actress Anine Stang became a mom right after the filming and Michael has dedicated the movie to his mother.
Actor Leonard Valestrand Eike has a scene where he eats some cake, but he got so much cake that he became nauseous.
Producer Michael Ringdal asked actress Anine Stang if she could sing the Title song for the movie, written by Marie Fishpin Kvam Holberg & Ådne Lyngstad Nilsen. Anine Stang is a Pop artist and songwriter and said yes to it. The song is called "Ser Du Meg Nå" (Do You See Me Now).
