On April 19, 2017, the mother and son of Kondrashina and Ovchinnikov filed for Studio "TriTe" Nikita Mikhalkov in the Presnensky District Court of Moscow lawsuit" on the prohibition of the dissemination of information about private life, "the satisfaction of which by a court decision of September 4, 2017 plaintiffs were refused (due to the fact that during the consideration of the case the defendant made changes in the scenario taking into account the circumstances stated in the statement of claim).
So you see, these changes were made to avoid getting sued!
For me it's a great drama and i's surprised it only has a 6.9 rating.

This movie on the miracle of the Soviet basketball team is very interesting and inspiring. Great work
Read enough around the events of the 1972 Olympics gold medal basketball game and one thing is clear: this isn't a documentary, it's a sports fable. And what good one too.
If you've watched Hoosiers or Rudy, and aren't particularly political, you'll see that this film is built on the same formula and has the same mojo going for it. Grab us with human interest stories, get us to care and root for them, and make the sport the canvas for the drama.
Take what you see with a pinch of salt - the events were so long ago and yet remain debated to this day. Don't come to this film looking for the facts, come to it for the fun of a well told story.

This is perhaps the best Russian film in the last 20 years!
Stunning movie Interesting, lively, funny, dramatic. In comparison with the previous work - Legend 17, the creators paid much attention not to one character, but to the entire team, where each person, not the screen, also paid much attention to the coach and his family. I empathized, laughed and cried. In the cinema, in which I was, the whole audience stood applauding.
I do not know if this film was released in other languages, but I advise all fans of the sports drama genre to get acquainted with this amazing work.
Sorry for my bad english.

I'm not a big fan of Russian cinema, but this film worth attention. It's much better then "Legend N17" and other Russians sports dramas what I have seen before.
Great movie about that olympic game. If you think theres misinformation in this movie, google the 1972 olympic basketball final.
The first time I watched this movie, I liked it. I would probably recommend it and give it 7-8 star review. Thanks to BadComedian's review I realized that this movie is full of disinformation and crap. Think for yourselves.

To be objective and honest, this is not a perfect movie. Nevertheless, it worths at least 8.5.

The film is not bad, if you don't know the truth. Anton Megerdichev took real people under real names and brazenly lies, and when they ask him about historicity, he says that the film is artistic , but the film does not work as an artistic one. Very good camerawork, but this is the only good thing in this film
Tip:one-time viewing.

An ultimate sports tearjerker, this is a reasonably well made buddy movie about the most legendary basketball event of the century. It's heavy with propaganda and Russian patriotism, but what else can be expected. The film is quite tense and smooth, in spite of some blatantly disappointing comic relief towards the end (the hippie-Harley hillbilly couple gets much too much screen time, as does the all-black NY street punk team that seems to be fixed in time to the same street corner, where they miraculously have a TV set). However, it's a very watchable movie, regardless of your political on athletic preferences, even though the story could have be told from quite a different viewpoint, had it been made in the US.

Sure the movie is entertaining, given the fact that it plagiarized Miracle (2004).
If you really think about it the movie makes very little sense both story wise and characters' motivation. The relationships of the characters have no actual development, there are a lot of plots that were put in simply for the dramatic effect.
It is an insult to the actual people that are portrayed in the movie how they change all of them, almost if not all the characteristics of the players are made up and don't actually represent the people behind the names.
Maybe worst of all is the advertising of the movie, getting called "a documentary" or saying that it is an accurate retelling, when it couldn't be farther from the truth. The director prides himself on the accuracy of the movie when a lot of things in the movie are anything but the truth.
If you want to watch a better movie, with character motivations that make sense and a plot that doesn't contradict itself watch "Miracle".

For this type of movies this is one of the best I seen, great script, compelling story, good actors.
This is not a documentary or a book detailing real events, this a dramatized sports achievement story for the glory of Russian nation. It is allowed when American do it but for some reason no one else can. Live with it.

The film itself shows the situation that happened in reality. He describes how at that time they "strangled" freedom of speech and action, but at the same time there were people who, no matter what, gave others faith and hope, which inspired them to do something really serious. And let many find some inaccuracies with the realities (still this is not a documentary film), the film is shot very cool and it insanely motivates to fight and act no matter what.

It doesn't matter what genre, what actor, pictures, whatever; a story has to be interesting, dialogues, creativity, even if it's a war movie, a sports movie, a science fiction movie, a romantic movie, a musical movie, it doesn't matter if it has big names, pretty faces and impressive visual effects, it's worth nothing without the basics; decent storytelling, a common problem in Hollywood today.
In the case of Dvzheine vverk, they made even people who are not interested in sports interested in this film, without forcing propaganda, great dialogue, and impressive camera effects with a small fraction of the budget of a Hollywood blockbuster at this scale.

Maybe 10, is too much but at least 8 is the right vote for one of the best Russian movie. If you go to see the votes structure you will easily note a lot of "1" put by users that wanted just to reduce the rating of the movie.
I am very sad to see that people is not looking at quality of the movie but just put a vote considering that it is Russian.
Story is based on real fact with some changes like others movie. Some facts related to a couple of players happened in different years but it is like in Bohemian Rapsody we have several changes in real life of Freddie Mercury.
There is not at all any Russian propaganda in this movie, at the opposite in some parts of the movie they are even showing the bad stuff of Soviet period like when blocked at Customs or the bad attitude versus Lithuanian.
The movie is also showing some plus of American society instead of Sovien one like the contact lenses.
For sure, some Americans did not like to see a story based on the final of Munich, but this is history and they need to accept it.
If you really like movies you should see this. Definetely!

Even knowing the final result, I'm still attracted by the excitement of the film, especially the last game Russia versus America, which I think it's the magic of sports. When t's just that you can't move your eye from the screen because every second is important. Though the triumph of Russia is some unfair to Americans who beat Russia twice and fail at last, I'm still touched by the spirit of Russia team. Facing "unbeatable" rival, the Russian team didn't give up when the chance is on hand, but fought with confidence and resolution, which is the most moving part for me. It's the secret of life -you never what will happen next and what's the rest at last and the only thing you can do is stick on until you do make it or die.
