The least inspired episode of season 4 so far, "Bread and Circuses" has a mini-coliseum fighting arena, some suspect acting and a plot that goes in circles to end... well, you know the shape of a circle.
Chandler continues his career as a boxer, with a side job as a spy. It makes no sense, but, well, OK, let's accept it. The Nathan James's crew searches for the seeds, but fails miserable in its job. Of course, the bad guys get the seeds and, well... they are going to sell them. Anyone can infer to whom are they planning to sell the seeds.
The episode is, to put it simply, boring. The fights are tiresome after three episodes of them, Chandler is not in so great a shape as to be invincible, and his arc makes no much sense (in particular, his boss's love for him). And the search of the seeds lacks energy and it is not gripping enough. It is just an excuse for ho-hum shootings, with little intensity or passion in the proceedings. Let's see how this continues, but without heart, bread and circuses will not be enough to keep the viewer's interest.
