I feel like it was too loosely scripted this time. I love improvisation, but there was no structure here at all. They kept repeating themselves (that damn hunger).
I can't possibly rate it lower than a six though, because I love TPB nonetheless...
I enjoyed watching seasons 1 & 2. Not nearly as good as the original, but what can be? It is near impossible to bring back the magic after the original is over (e.g., Arrested Development, Will & Grace, Netflix TPB, etc.)
I won't say that I hate this series, as I found it amusing, especially season 2. However, the one thing that kills this for me is the guy from SwearNet that is in charge of giving The Boys their tasks. Tom Mayhue? Not sure of his name. However, he is such a rank amateur, and such an a**hole, that I find myself having to fast forward through any parts that he is in. And this is not just because he is an a**hole to the boys. He's just the type of guy that has a most punchable face. I cannot, for the life of me, understand why The Boys have not beaten him to a bloody pulp. I would seriously rather have Cyrus giving them their tasks.

Don't listen to all the haters, no one who truly gets TPB's would be so critical.
Classic boys shenanigans but in Europe. Can't go wrong
Classic boys shenanigans but in Europe. Can't go wrong
This spinoff takes the boys out of the park and into unfamiliar territory while they complete tasks for Swearnet in the hopes of winning cash. The first season sent them all across Europe as they struggled to just feed themselves. Personally I thought it was hilarious as the boys were clearly out of their element and the tasks were increasingly ridiculous. Even something as basic as the boys not speaking the native languages was funny because that meant anything was bound to happen. Ricky's humor by far shines here as he's in the territory of endless legal dope yet as no money to score some. Julian however imo dragged down the season. He didn't do any of the tasks and just wanted to sit and drink the whole time in the background. Usually he's the chief leader and optimistic, so it killed the fun with him taking the backseat and whining the whole time. Meanwhile I felt pretty bad for Bubbles. The other 2 kind of screwed him over while he did a lot of the work on the various tasks.
Contrast this with season 2 which made a lot of changes. It's obvious the shows creators heard the fans feedback and tweaked accordingly, and yet this season just comes off weaker. They removed the annoying swearnet host which is great, but the ironic downside is now you almost forget the boys are doing the tasks to compete for money since there's no one to guide them/egg them on. They gave Bubbles a bigger arc however now he comes off really selfish right from the start. And it is not a good luck on him. Whereas the audience could easily sympathize for him in season 1, in season 2 he's frankly a jerk that ruins it for Ricky and Julian. The show quickly becomes all about Bubbles and his dreams instead of doing swearnet tasks to make the boys money. He also drops the ball on a lot of task which turns the audience against him. Honestly it made me wonder why they even bothered doing the tasks if the whole focus quickly turned into Bubbles trying to go to outer space or become a country music singer. I'd Julian thankfully has more of a roll instead of just whining in the background.
While it was cool seeing the boys in the USA, it just didn't have the same humor as the first season. Again a bit of the humor was the boys being totally confused by the food, customs, and foreign languages of Europe. Here that's gone since everyone speaks English, eats the same food, knows the same celebs etc. This season is also oddly censored. Nudity is blurred which it's whatever but it just seemed weird that Netflix is in charge of both seasons and was fine with full frontal in your face nudity in season 1 but then blurs it in 2. The overall tone too also just felt more censored. Less sex stuff, less focus on drugs other than one specific scenario, even the tasks are not as racy or extreme. They're definitely more fun, but in a way that anyone would want to do them and not like season 1 where it was almost like fear factor with the raw shock value of omg I can't believe they actually did that?!?!. There's still plenty of swearing, but beyond that this season felt very PG13.
Overall tho, out of the park is definitely a funny twist for the boys with good humor and scenarios. I just wish they didn't tone down season 2 as much.

The original series was lowbrow comedy gold and gave birth to some great original characters, but this is something different. You have to get past Tom Mayhue and he is not an actor... The version of himself that he plays on this show is reprehensible and I kept hoping Ricky and Julian would "dispose of him," the way they disposed of him the way they disposed of Conky, but unfortunately he's in it for the longhaul. He is the WORST part of the show and if I had quit watching, it would have been because of this vile little man. When he's not on camera it's still a funny show. No, they did not spend 5 minutes throwing up because they didn't "like canned fish."Surströmming is basically rotten fish in a can that tastes like moldy blue cheese, but the Swedes seem to enjoy it. Most people would puke at the smell of that stuff, so the person equating it to regular old canned fish should probably get out of the park themselves.

Trailer Park Boys out of the park is a new, different show. If the Original Trailer Park boys show was a mockumentary of 90s era "reality TV", then the "Out of the Park" show is a mockumentary of 00s era "reality TV"
The boys, they are the same Trailer Park Boys we know and love. Ricky, Julian, and Bubbles characters are brilliantly acted as always.
At first, things just don't feel "right". There is no Mr Lahey. There is no Randy. The never ending hamburger and liquor fueled feud has come and gone.
Instead, the boys have a new enemy, a dark and ominous force has arisen to torment them. They are low on fuel. They have no comforts of home. All they have is each other.
Its a fresh and new TPB for the modern era. Just as vulgar, stupid, immature as before, but, in a shiny new bottle. I miss many of the supporting characters, but, the new show is magnificent. I love every moment of it.

This is awful. The TPB's have sunk to a new low. The show used to be funny and not rely on low intelligence toilet humor. This series is basically a poor version of "An Idiot Abroad". Actually it's "3 full retards abroad". If you've seen ANY of the series before it went to Netflix you know that Ricky, Julian and Bubbles would NEVER act or stand for any of the stuff they have to do and put up with in this series. It's a shame because that's what ruins it. There are some funny moments in some episodes but they are so few and far between. This series is basically three old men whining and acting like little babies who get stepped on and walked all over the whole time without having any backbone. It takes the term JUMPING THE SHARK to a whole new level. The seasons on Netflix have gotten progressively worse and worse but this takes the cake for GARBAGE. I thought they sunk low with the toilet humor but this is to the point where it's insulting to the fans who have been around since the beginning. It makes you wonder what happened and who these characters are. I do understand they are in Europe away from the park but that is no excuse for how just how BAD they let things get. Them doing this shows that they don't care about the fans that have been with them since the beginning but want to cater to the teen age group. If you want to see bubbles act like a little scared boy all the time and Ricky and Julian act so selfish and not care about ANYONE besides themselves the whole time (while Julian doesn't stand up to anyone, shuts his mouth and does what he's told) then "TPB GO FULL RETARD ABROAD" is for you. They aren't the same guys we got to know and love anymore. Skip this unless there is absolutely nothing better to watch. I am scared to see how bad season 11 is going to be now.

The difference between a good season of TPB and a great one can be illustrated by missed opportunities. The episode with the 200mph task should have focused on time travel, period. A full episode devoted to the boys thinking they went back i time could have been an all time classic, but instead, it's just a momentary gag. Also, the hangover scene was only a gag but it should have been an epic finale to the season. What happened last night? It was long forgot a couple minutes in. The guest stars absolutely elevate, but aren't always hitting the mark. The basketball player for instance just kind of shows up and stands around for a few. Cool and all, but it could have been more.
Overall though, plenty of good. Season 2 is better than Season 1. It's not among the best of TPB, but it's certainly an addition to the catalogue i'm glad to have.

I was spurned by a lot of bad reviews here but I found this to be hilarious. Is the original series better? Of course. It's 10/10. This is still funny tho.
I think a lot of people expected a continuation of the series with the other characters etc but this is more like the 3 guys in character playing Amazing Race or the Mole or Survivor. If the OG series is a mockumentary then this is their faux reality TV.
I dig the Europe episodes better than American just because the stark difference in culture seems funnier (Ricky getting mad about people using different languages was cracking me up, and Julian was trying way too hard to be cool).
I agree with the complaints about the host/Mayhew/swearnet guy. He's really bland but I kind of felt it was done on purpose. This actually really reminded me of the old Mole reality show and this guy was like knock off Anderson Cooper. But it's whatever, we are here for Ricky, Julian, and Bubbles.

I only made it through the first and second episode. I am a big fan of the first seasons of TPB, but this is really a disgrace and an insult to everyone viewing this and all people involved.
Just to point out a few things:
Just to point out a few things:
- Really badly made green screen scenes all over the place.
- Bad post processing, lighting, framing and all over terrible production value.
- Referring to the second episode: Why does it take place in Berlin, when it only refers things you find in Bavaria? Did the producers spend more than 2h on location scouting?

The Trailer Park Boys have gotten pretty lame over the years but when they break away from their main series they've made some truly awful stuff. Swearnet, Drunk and On Drugs Happy Fun Hour, every TPB live special they have ever done. Now this, TPB: OOTP. I don't want to see them out of the park. Well I did but only until I saw this show. The quality is below zero. They don't even care how bad it is. Terrible production value and it is as if they don't even have a script. Nothing interesting or funny happens. This show is completely unwatchable.

I love these but after watching a frustrating and disappointing Europe series, I had high hopes for this US series but it was unbearable with Bubbles ranting the whole time. This show gravely went out of balance to Bubbles it should have been his own show and Julian and Ricky were just sidekicks.
Wow. This show is bad. Really bad. Just bad... awful in fact.
Nothing in this show is remotely funny. They're not even trying to do comedy any more, just riding a bus between cities in Europe and saying the f-word a lot. Swearing is fine if you're going to be funny, but JUST swearing is not funny at all.
I can see that "show" at my job every day around the water cooler, in the garage, in the smoking area, anywhere.
Very bad show.

When the first season came out it was exactly what these guys needed, a new take on an over done idea. Sadly, the second season is the worst thing these guys have ever done. There are only two funny moments in the entire season and one is Tom Green. This series is supposed to be about them doing challenges for money but the second season is just about Bubbles making a video. A video that you probably saw before you saw season two which will therefore ruin any little bit of enjoyment you may have gotten. I never thought I would want the Trailer Park Boys to go away but it's time.
Well this whole season was garbage. Its bad enough that peole still think traveling to other far off countries and paying thousands just to get there is glamorous, but its not. Europe is mostly as normal as any other country, with people getting up, working, being bored and fed up with the government as anywhere else.
But instead of capitalizing on this and really giving people something worthwhile, we had one of the worst thing I have seen from the makers of TPB since a certain other drug fueled travesty aired. ( I shant say its name)
Trying to move away from the exact formula is never good when its a tried and true thing. A sure thing. And this europe nonsense was a sure crummy thing.
Aside from the fact that the episodes were each less than 30 minutes, which is insulting if one is to properly get things done in such a show, but every time the boys had their little individual on camera vid diaries, it was done with a cheapest green screen of prerecorded footage from somewhere in the country. Then you had them meeting up with a buncha losers most people in the western hemisphere wont recognize, a jerk telling em what to do whom looks like J Roc's estranged father, and just a buncha time wasting, 3rd rate attempts at comedy. This was almost worse than the other wannabe reality show about drug addled stupidity( no no Trailer Park Boys, that other piece of refuse, which shall not be mentioned).
I really wanted to rate this higher, but the more I watched it, the sadder it became. Everything after season 7 and countdown to liquor day has been garbage. As Far as I am concerned, the show still officially ended at season 7. Everything else is just shoddy pandering.

Cant bringt myself to go into detail why this sucks because I enjoyed the original so much.
Its nothing very bad but like every show you kinda feel when it has run its course and should stop. With TPB that was probably around season 9 of the original. Now with this, even if its way subpar compared ,the one man that really destroys that is Tom Mayhue. He is not an actor and just in any regard wholly unlikable. Go watch their first masterpiece and ignore this.
