Here is another adorable anime series I found on Crunchyroll with an equally adorable, pleasant story about the friendship between a baby spotted seal called Goma-chan and a little boy named Ashibe Ashiya. Another reason I enjoy this series is that I am a seal enthusiast.
The original manga creator, Hiromi Morishita, made the manga in 1988 and then adapted it into an anime series in 1991. I had never seen the anime version. But this series is the only one I have seen and loved. I'd also heard that Goma-chan had amassed a large fan base and sparked a spotted seal boom.
So all I have to say is that I really love this series with its humorous, lighthearted story and wonderful animation. Also, I'd like to see the series on a North American DVD.
