In 2019, a convicted racist Vicky Momberg was a fugitive for three months. After being robbed in Johannesburg, she used the n-word in front of police officers, sentenced and jailed for three years. After the nation-wide "womanhunt" Momberg has turned herself in to the police in November 2019. She continued serving her sentence in Johannesburg Correctional Centre known as "Sun City". In December same years she was one of 50,000 prisoners released by the presidential pardon.
