I loved the first scene at the couples therapy: great music, good acting, nice song choice, beautifully edited etc. The idea is not new, but the trailer was promising. And then we got a comedy mainly favouring the husband's point of view. Which is disappointing and makes the jokes a bit predictable. The tampon one was utterly forced. I mean a doctor who would not know how to use it? A surgeon who wouldn't know how to read the autocue? Ah, they missed out on so many good jokes!
Smutniak was brilliant: the hand gestures, the posture, yet Favino overplayed it a bit too much (oh my, he is handsome as ever though). To me the wife did not come off as a whiny b*tch at the therapy, yet the minute they switched bodies Favino started talking on a high pitched voice and being overly theatrical. I thought he's going to stop after they both calm down and acknowledge the fact of the mind-swap, but no. All in all it was not bad, but that's what we say about the ice cream tubs we bought at supermarket because we were lazy to visit that delicious Italian ice cream parlour four blocks away.
