Rebecca Lord shone on screen in both European and Chatsworth videos in the '90s and since has become a highly personal director. But her languorous Adult exercises in eroticism lack oomph - often reminding me more of the tableaux which predated porn than exciting moving pictures.

Her formula is a bit odd: pairing often sweet young things with vast erect dicks (the kind you'd expect to have a towel hanging from them in a dumb comedy for a quick sight gag), the contrast always eye-catching but going nowhere thereafter. This is most obvious in the coming attractions for her other videos where such imagery jumps off the screen. The laid-back pacing made me repeatedly quite drowsy, not a good sign at all.

Showiest vignette, and probably the one worthy of future anthologizing long after the original is relegated to landfill, has pretty Kitty Lovedream dolled up like a geisha in white-face and costume/hairdo, for some sexy role playing. Once again, the sequence is out of context, not even given an Oriental backdrop but like the rest of the show shot on locations somewhere in Hungary, Czech Republic or Paris. Lord puts a lot of effort and production value into her porn, but overall I found her approach dangerously close to convincing the virtual rack jobber to display it on the shelf titled "Generic".
