Halston Sage (Alara Kitan) has left the show, most likely due to other work commitments. It is unlikely she will return, however, the Producers have left the door open for her.
She had a contract with Warner, which moved her to the show Prodigal Son for two seasons of that. Everyone else on the Orville was a free agent to do as they please.
I have seen where people have said that they are gaming chairs that were used to make these. I am not sure. It you are saying the mask(s) from Scream then yes they do a bit.
Production was stopped in March 2020 by Covid but is beginning again in December. Hope is that it can air before the end of 2021 but production is expected to be much slower due to the need for extra safety protocols for so many close-contact workers dealing with makeup, prosthetics, etc.
