Did you know
- TriviaOrigin of the title: Early in the production, Deanna M. Lehman (Pop's bar girl, set photographer) told an anecdote about a certain teenage friend would always say "Auf Wiedersehen" whenever they parted. Unfamiliar with German, Deanna had always thought he was saying "Halfway to Zen", only to realize the actual phrase years later. She suggested "Halfway to Zen" as a potential title, and the Adams' as well as their focus group liked it. The wordplay was subsequently written into the crossword puzzle scene between Pop and Vic.

Things go downhill from there, and "there" is the opening credits. This mess is the opposite of a feel good story, and that's the best thing I can say. However, if you make it to the end, could you share with the rest of us what the ending was supposed to mean. Was it the equivalent of the cultures who put the old folks on an ice floe and send them into the ocean?
Is there anything redeeming about this movie. The young actress who played Eddie did a very nice job. She's the one star in a one-star rating. Everyone, and everything else, get no stars and may the Good Lord have mercy on their souls.
