Paris Jackson, the 22-year-old daughter of Michael Jackson, is set to star as Jesus Christ in a new film called “Habit” opposite Bella Thorne, the producers of the movie told TheWrap.

“Habit” is a thriller directed by Janell Shirtcliff that stars Thorne as a woman with a Jesus fetish who masquerades as a nun in order to escape a drug deal gone wrong. Jackson then appears several times throughout the film to Thorne’s character as Jesus.

Suki Kaiser wrote the screenplay based on a story by Shirtcliff and “Sydney White” actress Libby Mintz.

Model and actor Paris Jackson has joined Bella Thorne, Gavin Rossdale and Josie Ho on thriller Habit that counts Cassian Elwes’ Elevated Films among its producers and has Voltage Pictures on board to handle international sales.

Jackson (see first-look photograph) will play Jesus in the feature about a street-smart party girl with a Jesus fetish who gets mixed up in a violent drug deal and finds a possible way out by masquerading as a nun. Donovan Leitch, 852 Films, Martingale Pictures, Voltage Pictures, Cloudlight and Elevated Films are producing.

Hulu is out with its list of everything new coming and going in March, and the new additions include the three-episode series premiere of “Little Fires Everywhere” starring Kerry Washington and Reese Witherspoon, and the premiere of the Hillary Clinton documentary “Hillary.”

Those two shows premiere March 18 and March 6, respectively. Other highlights include “Into the Dark: Crawlers,” about body-switching aliens and also out on March 6; the complete second season of “Love Island: Australia” coming March 13, and the two-episode series premiere of “Devs” starring Nick Offerman on March 6.

Movies leaving the site on March 31 include “When Harry Met Sally…,” “Precious” and “Big Fish.”

March sees the beginning of one of TV's more interesting experiment in 2020. Hulu's new releases for March 2020 are highlighted by the launch of the torturously-named "FX on Hulu" in which certain FX shows will premiere exclusively on Hulu.

Yes, when Disney set out up the entertainment industry, it gained more brands than it knew what to do with. And that's how you get stuff like FX on Hulu. The streaming/cable hybrid begins in earnest in March with two series, Alex Garland's sci-fi Devs and the weird Lil Dickey comedy Dave. More FX on Hulu is set to arrive in April as well.

When it comes to the vampire subgenre of horror, it's safe to say that by now, we've seen every take under the sun. From the Bela Lugosi portrayal in Dracula, all the way to the sparkly, angst-filled Twilight vamps, it's been done and with varying results. A modern-day reimagining of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein from one of the most influential and innovative voices in independent horror, Larry Fessenden’s Depraved has been acquired by IFC Midnight for Us distribution.

As shared by The Hollywood Reporter, Depraved is expected to receive a release in the Us this fall from IFC Midnight (following its screening at the upcoming Overlook Film Festival in New Orleans).

Meet the new man. Glass Eye Pix has debuted a short festival teaser trailer for Depraved, the latest film from beloved indie filmmaker / actor Larry Fessenden. This is premiering at the What the Fest!? festival at the IFC Center this month, which is why there's a teaser out now. Described as the "best film version of the Frankenstein legend in decades", Fessenden's Depraved is a "meditative reimagining of the" Shelley's classic novel that "explores the crisis of masculinity and ideas about loneliness, memory and the subtle psychological shocks that shape us as individuals." The plot follows a disillusioned field surgeon suffering from Ptsd who endeavors to make a man out of body parts and bring him to life in a Brooklyn loft. The film follows Michael and his chance meeting with Lee that leads to a job at a seedy massage parlour called Cloud 9. After witnessing the violent death of one of the customers Michael experiences blood-drenched flashbacks and feels himself being sucked into a twilight world that he doesn’t understand but is irresistibly drawn to.

Few American filmmakers epitomize the spirit of horror made beyond the clutches of Hollywood better than Larry Fessenden, who has directed and produced socially conscious scary movies for decades. Now, IndieWire has exclusively learned that Fessenden is stepping behind the camera for the first in several years to direct “Depraved” from his own script. Billed as a contemporary reimagining of Mary Shelley’s “Frankenstein,” Fessenden’s project focuses on a field surgeon who suffers from Ptsd after combat in the Middle East, and creates a living human out of body parts in his Gowanus, Brooklyn lab.
