As a long-time fan of "The Evil Dead" I was a totally mark for the first season of "Ash Vs. Evil Dead". It was a fantastic, authentic continuation of the story - with great additions, physical effects and buckets of gore. The second season, is frankly, more of the same, and all the better for it.
Having settled for a life in Jacksonville away from the worries of deadites, Ash (Bruce Campbell) is living his best life. Kelly (Dana Delorenzo) and Pablo (Ray Santiago) are with him, though Pablo can't shake the memories of his time connected to the Necronomicon. Ruby (Lucy Lawless) though, loses control over her murderous offspring and much to her chagrin realises that she needs Ash's help to defeat them.
So yes. Again the show is a complete blast. Full of the OTT violence and practical effects that the films pioneered and the show continues. It's total fan service, bringing back Ellen Sandweiss, Ted Raimi, even managing to find another way to get back to the cabin during this run. I love that each episode is a little over half an hour, rather than the traditional 42 or so - that meant I could binge the season over a couple of nights.
What can I say, if you're not a fan - this isn't going to convert you, but I was and am and know I still have the third and final season to look forward too.
