Exclusive: Young actress Maggie Elizabeth Jones (Ben and Kate) has been cast as one of the leads of CBS’ new Chuck Lorre-Marco Pennette multi-camera comedy series B Positive, headlined by Thomas Middleditch and Annaleigh Ashford.
Jones has joined the series in a recasting; a different teen actress played the role in the James Burrows-directed B Positive pilot, the only 2020 broadcast pilot that was completed before the coronavirus-related production shutdown started in mid-March.
Created by Pennette, B Positive is about a therapist and newly divorced dad (Middleditch) who is faced with finding a kidney donor when he runs into a rough-around-the-edges woman from his past (Ashford) who volunteers her own. Together they form an unlikely bond and begin a journey that will change both of their lives.
Jones plays Maddie. Wise beyond her years, Maddie acts as a parent to her parents Drew (Middleditch) and Julia (Sara Rue), who are divorced.

After taking care to first secure the key roles of its three galaxy-spanning witches—in the form of Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, and Mindy Kaling—Ava DuVernay’s A Wrinkle In Time has finally cast its primary lead. According to The Hollywood Reporter, DuVernay has selected 13-year-old actress Storm Reid to play Madeleine L’Engle’s prickly protagonist, Meg Murry, in the Disney film.
Reid’s been active since 2012, and had her first wide exposure with a small role in Steve McQueen’s 12 Years A Slave. She’s since gone on to pop up on shows like NCIS: Los Angeles and Chicago P.D., and appear in low-profile movies like Sleight and the American Girl feature Lea To The Rescue.
Now, she’ll be taking on the part of Margaret “Meg” Murry, a self-described oddball who’s fiercely protective of her supernaturally gifted little brother, Charles Wallace. When ...

Spectrum Films will start a new chapter in its 51 year history early next year by moving into a new creative space in the heart of the Fox Studios.
It.s just the second time the post production facility founded by Hans Pomeranz in a converted shop in Willoughby has shifted its operations.
Spectrum Films has been based in Building 53 on the Fox lot since the studios opened in 1998, well before the advent of Avid and other digital devices.
Managing director Josh Pomeranz and general manager Adam Scott- who is taking a stake in the business- see the move as the next evolution of Spectrum Films.
.We have come a long way from the converted chicken shop in Willoughby, and we look forward to welcoming our Spectrum family on the balcony soon,. Pomeranz said.
