A common man's fight against the corrupt system is a topic that has been done-to-death by numerous films in the past.Fortunately, the expertise of writer duo Bobby and Sanjay comes here for the rescue and they have succeeded in presenting an inspirational emotional thriller that raises voice against the faulty proceedings existing in the system.V.K.Prakash translates the screenplay engagingly into a decent thriller with his good directorial skills and technical support from the crew.
An easily connectible plot does half the job here with the major incident being something that each of us have come across at least once in our life, but have kept silent due to a variety of reasons.Even though the movie took some time to present its major plot in a concrete manner, the well-executed second half did the trick, keeping the audience hooked till the climax that puts forward a good message to the social scenario of today.
The courtroom sequences was the pick of the narration and brilliantly executed by V.K.P with some notable performances from the cast esp Prem Prakash who have come out with his career best performance. The powerful dialogs by Bobby-Sanjay aimed at the fraudulent system were hard hitting and received claps form the audience.
Performancewise,Prem Prakash stole the show with his brilliant portrayal of the firebrand advocate Sidharthan and this one can be counted as his best performance till date that showcases his caliber as an efficient actor.Asif Ali did his part really well, being particularly impressive in the pre-interval NDA sequences.Nedumudi Venu as Venukuttan Mash and Sudheer Karamana as the judge were notable.Among others Adhil Ibrahim,Malavika Mohan etc did their part well.
Music by M.Jayachandran was average and the Background Score by Ouseppachan was powerful and well-suited.Editing by Mahesh Narayanan was crisp and frames by Shehnad Jalal were good.
Overall,Nirnayakam is a decent thriller worth a watch for its theme and neat execution.
Verdict::Leaving aside the minor flaws,V.K.Prakash-Boby-Sanjay trios Nirnayakam is a thought-provoking thriller that deserves a watch for its relevant theme and genuine narration.Do catch the film from theaters itself if you get a second chance as I did.Better late than never!
