Here is a Filipino slasher movie. Having never seen such a thing from said country, and seeing that the movie features many pretty girls, I gave it a watch.
I shouldn't have bothered. It's pretty uninteresting - in fact the only thing the filmmakers do right is use an attractive cast. Other than that, the movie really taxed me. I was just waiting for it to end.
The plot - not that it matters - is a group of students who go stay in a house and start getting killed. Where have you heard that before?
The students are apparently amateur filmmakers, and perhaps they're in this house to film a movie. That doesn't really add anything to the story, and it's impossible to believe them as filmmakers, or anything else, really - other than soap opera actors and models slumming it in a horror film.
The movie may not be original. But who expects that in a slasher? It would help if, however, it were entertaining.
Another problem is that the movie fails to give you any sense of character. There are probably just too many people staying in the house, so you never get to know any of them, and none make an impression.
The movie is named after a weird game the characters play, like a variation of "truth or dare", which involves drawing on each other's faces with crayons. I didn't really get it. Mostly I was just wondering why anybody would do such a thing.
