Gac Family has set When Hope Calls: Hearties Christmas Present, billed as a “surprise one-hour original special,” to air Sunday, December 12 at 10 pm Et. It will immediately follow the world premiere of previously announced A Christmas Star, movie starring Sara Canning (The Vampire Diaries) and When Calls the Heart‘s Daniel Lissing.
The one-hour special was filmed on the set of When Hope Calls, spinoff to the nine-year hit When Calls The Heart which spawned the loyal fandom known as the #Hearties.
As we previously reported, When Calls the Heart alumna Lori Loughlin will appear in the Season 2 two-hour premiere of When Hope Calls on December 18, reprising her role as Abigail Stanton, in her return to acting. We’re told Loughlin appears in brief snippets of video in the special.

The holiday season is almost here and Amazon Prime is getting in the mood with its list of December 2021 releases. Sure there are the usual Christmas movies to be found but the real gift this month are two big original titles.
The sixth and final season of beloved sci-fi series The Expanse premieres on Dec. 10. Amazon is doing its usual release strategy of three episodes on the premiere day followed by a weekly schedule so there’s still some time to be spent with the crew of the Rocinante. The other big ticket item is the Desi and Lucy biopic Being the Ricardos on Dec. 21. Sure, Aaron Sorkin seems to be completely disinterested in I Love Lucy and Nicole Kidman bears no passing resemblance to the iconic comedienne whatsoever but uh…it’s a movie!

Madrid — Ahead of next week’s Natpe market in Miami, Beta, one of the biggest independent TV-film powerhouses in Europe, has confirmed a swathe of sales on its U.S. TV movie productions and high-end spin-off series “Gomorrah: The Immortal.”
The sales flag Beta’s diversified production-distribution model, and the continuing appetite for TV movies in the U.S., led by Lifetime and Hallmark channels, as the demand for movies of all type rises in a new streaming platform era.
In banner sales, A & E has acquired a bevy of U.S. TV thrillers for Lifetime, among them “Fatal Friend Request,” starring Sarah Lind (“True Justice”) and Bree Williamson (“Private Eyes”), produced by Cartel, “Purity Falls” by Stargazer, with Krisanna Loken (“Burn Notice2) and Trevor Stines (“Riverdale”) and a trio of Ninth House-productions: “Perfect Party Planner,” toplining Lindsey McKeon (“Supernatural”), “Bridal Nightmare” with Karissa Lee Staples (“S.W.A.T.”) and Mark Hapka...

The stars of yesterday now are making three films a year you never knew existed until they show up on Netflix.^ Real Movie ^
In my prior life as a script reader, I certainly read a lot of bad scripts, but at times, an even more common occurrence was a script that seemed to do a great many things right, but somehow fell just short of being something you wanted to champion as a movie. As draining as the terrible scripts were, there’s something pure about clear-cut bad. It takes little effort to explain why they’re unfit.
The real challenges were the scripts that had kind of a decent premise, kind of an okay twist or two, and a lead character who wasn’t bad so much as he or she was just… there. The raw materials are there for what Could be a script. They just happen to be assembled in the least compelling way...

Billed as being the first Irish Christmas movie – there’s also something rather noteworthy about Richard Elson’s enchanting festive production – it’s the first feature to have derived from the Cinemagic International Film and Television Festival for Young People, a charity and initiative to help generate an intrigue into cinema amongst our next generation.

The company has picked up international sales rights to Richard Elson’s family film narrated by Liam Neeson.
Newcomer Erin Galway-Kendrick stars in A Christmas Star with a supporting role by Pierce Brosnan and a cameo from Kylie Minogue.

Cinemagic’s Joan Burney Keatings produced the film and Elson co-wrote the screenplay with Maire Campbell.
