Isabella's Civil War with husband Edward II - and the rise of her son Edward III - was depicted in the TV Series World Without End (2012) (based on the Ken Follett novel) - which also starred Tom Cullen, as landless serf Wulfric.
- GoofsIn the first season, Isabella is depicted as a teenager during the period her parents are seeking a wedding match for her. In reality, Queen Joan died when Isabella was only ten years old and Isabella was married to the future King Edward II by the time she was 12.
Featured review
Group of knights templar get involved in the schemes and politics of the French court, while also on the hunt for the holy grail. Kind of a mix between arthurian legend and the 3 musketeers, nothing particularly original so far, I've seen up to ep 8 season 1, but it's been entertaining and I will keep on watching, however for a show made by the history channel I wish the makers put much more effort in to make it historically accurate, as its portrayal is very factually inaccurate.
