This film was the end-of-the-year project for a German acting class.
Due to the extremely limited budget, only one coat was available which had blood stains and bullet holes. Because of this, any German soldiers killed are wearing the same coat. The actors would have to change between takes.
The main sets used in the film were part of a Polish museum. The owners of the museum were reluctant to give permission to the filmmakers, as previous Australian and American film crews had not treated it well. One of the crews, for instance, asked if they could widen a cabin door entrance by means of chainsaw.
