As we all know, music always has been a essential part of any film. Candela was a challenge for us, because it's a large film where many scenes need of the music to express the feelings of the characters. It's not enough to compose a theme and insert it. We had to analyze every scene and imagine how should be the music in it. Even the story is sometimes tender, funny... Other times is sad or even hard but I think finally we've found the perfect score for each scene and the whole is perfect.
Director Manuel Camacho was delighted with our work. It has been an amazing experience to work together and now we are going to plan next film "Luces" (Lights), the next chapter in Candela's trilogy.
About composers: Pedro Velardiez and I were already working together in other musical projects. We met us five years ago in a musical event and two years ago, both decided to make an original composition. The experience was incredible and the project "Make a wish: The Musical", a hit. It's very easy for me to connect musically with him. Music starts to flow immediately. So, when the film started to shoot, I decided to call Pedro and offered him to compose a part of the score. Pedro accepted and we started to work. I think both make a great team.
