Featured review
So this 2014 Thai movie titled "O.T. The Movie" (aka "O.T. phi Overtime") was supposed to have been spawned off of the Thai horror anthology "3AM", where it continues the story of one of the segments told there.
Well, I can't really say that director Isara Nadee managed to make something noteworthy of this 2014 horror comedy.
While the movie runs at a normal feature length, so little of any interest happened in the movie that it felt like a four hour movie marathon. I gave up on the movie 55 minutes into the ordeal. Why? Well, simply because I was bored out of my mind, and I had no interest in the storyline what so ever. I stuck with the movie, hoping it would become better as the story progressed. But that just never happened.
The storyline was mundane and boring, truth be told, and that was one of the main reasons why the movie fell short of entertaining me. That, well, and also by having a character gallery of essentially pointless characters that I had no interest in, and they all just seemed the same.
For a comedy, the laughs were few indeed, and for a horror movie equally so. Not even a Thai person would find this movie scary, much less a seasoned horror veteran such as myself.
My rating of "O.T. The Movie" settles on a generous three out of ten stars, solely because the movie does have really nice production quality to it, and it shows that the movie makers put in a genuine effort. However, I can honestly say that I am not going to be returning to watch the rest of the movie at any point in the future.
