Samuel Adams was 50 years old in 1772, three years before Lexington and Concord.
Margaret Kimble Gage was 40 years old when she moved to Boston in 1774 with her husband, General Gage. Emily Berrington is in her twenties. They also had eleven children in real life. This is not mentioned in the miniseries.
While the pistol holsters that feature prominently in the show have no historical context (holsters in the 18th century were mounted on officers' saddles), some pistols did have a metal spring clip mounted on the left side above the trigger guard to allow them to be worn on a belt or baldric.
