.... is an hilarious piece of self-deprecating humour all centered around Romain Goupil ; one of the May 68 actors who has veered more to the right as he has got older. He is in almost every frame in a tale which weaves different disparate items : a trip to Sarajevo with his younger wife and kids ... a trip through red tape to get his pension ... also planning his own funeral and organizing the community issues of the artist condominium he lives in complete with maneuverings to take over ; it all flips back and forth between these elements in a balletic way glued together by Goupil's magnetic presence. Sarkosy's wife sister Ms Tedeschi Bruni also blesses this piece of social comedy interlacing 68 into 2014 and all in between. Not a masterpiece by any means ; still it will amuse for an hour and twenty minutes of creative mayhem ..... the last five minutes on their own justify a viewing; and yes Cohn-Bendit does a one-minute or less cameo
PS The title: Les Jours Venus refers to When The Day Arrives (when one passes on/things end) a mixture of all that .... in case you were wondering
