Anyone who is bored by this film has no interest in cinema. A fascinating, mesmeric, multi-layered examination of memory, sense of self, of our place in the scheme of things. Though coming out of a very different culture, the aural and visual beauty, especially of the final minutes, is strongly reminiscent of Tarkovsky's Mirror, down to the mise en scene, music and cinematography surrounding the central character Francoise as she finally finds a way back to her roots...
