Audiences should be aware that The Marine 4 is the epitome of B-movie, it has a simple premise and is designed to entertain with least amount of effort. To its credit, the movie does serve that purpose. It offers lots of shooting spree as well as decently choreography melee combat, even though some of its logic are admittedly flawed and the protagonists wear magical plot armors.
Jake Carter (Mike Mizanin or The Miz) is starting a new job as a security guard for high value target, a whistle-blower by the name of Olivia Tanis (Melissa Roxburgh). Soon he realizes that the implication Olivia could do is far reaching, and he must do his best to keep her safe. Acting from The Miz is surprisingly good. He's a pretty suitable lead, creating the disheartened veteran persona well. This is better than most exaggerated roles of action genre, although he does look a bit confused at times.
Matthew MacCaull as the antagonist is above the rest. He presents a conniving personality that presentably irritating. Melissa Roxburgh as the female lead however, is distinctly bad. Her character is supposed to be a brash woman with brave attitude, but it turns out to be an annoying and highly unsympathetic bickering damsel. The rest of cast is your typical mercenaries. Summer Rae makes an appearance as well, while she has so few lines, she does look the part of fit femme fatale.
Plot and action are severely unrealistic. People are shooting for half of the movie, it's not even a hyperbole. Scenes are basically Jake and random mercs spraying bullets at each other, without the need of reloading and unsurprisingly Jake has far better accuracy. The fisticuffs are marginally better as the fights are choreographed with good impact.
The Marine 4 is, as expected, ninety minutes of mindless shooting and punching, nothing more. It's not Bourne, but it will do for mindless fun.

Once again, WWE proves that they have no skills with movies. Mike "The Miz" Mizanin is predictable in another movie with high energy and low talent. We have all seen the "acting" these wrestlers do on TV, so now we are supposed to sit thru an entire movie of bad acting, horrible reactions, and dialog that falls flat. Summer Rae has looks, and that is all. The DVD cover is almost identical to the GI Joe films (even using the tag line "There is no greater force than an all American hero", which is very similar to "A real American Hero") I will not give spoilers, because you will predict how it will go 5 minutes into it. So what will be next? Marine 5 starring Torito? Marine 6 with Fandango? WWE should give up movies, and the lame "storylines" on their Raw and Smackdown shows. This movie is only good if you need something to stabilize your wobbly coffee table. The box is just right for that. And the DVD can be put on wall (shiney side out) as a small mirror, so you can see the fool who bought this DVD.
Over-muscled one man army. Check. Escorting witness to testify. Check. Betrayal by an insider for illogical reasons. Check. Pretty but annoying airhead female witness whose actions make life harder on the one man army protecting her. Check. Special forces bad guys who learned marksmanship from Imperial Stormtroopers. Check. Good guy wins, bad guys die. Check.
Four stars for something to watch.

OK, granted I love shoot em up movies for the mindless entertainment on rainy days curled up with popcorn and no expectations for great performances. But this is a waste of talent and nothing more than proving script writers without talent can ruin an actor's career.. The Miz, a better actor than this movie deserves, struggles with the poor plot and Summer, well I am not sure why she is even in this movie other than to mumble a few lines. I would have refused the role as it is a career buster and not career enhancer. She could have had a real role other than jumping into and out of scenes cocking a gun. I am a WWE fan and have seen what good movie scripts and talented wrestlers can do together. This is not one of them. Sorry, no spoiler as the movie is so predictable and lame, it gives itself away. I hope Miz and Summer ( I am a huge fan of both ) find better movie opportunities despite their contract obligations to appear in such trash.

"Do you trust me now?" Jake Carter (Mizanin) is a marine who is charged with protecting Olilvia Tanis (Roxburgh), a high profile whistle blower who has numerous death threats against her. When someone in Jake's organization is revealed to be a traitor he has to not only fight off the traitor but also keep Olivia safe so she can testify. This is a movie that is pretty much what you expect. An hour and a half of stuff blowing up and violence with a little plot. The main problem with these movies is that there is really no suspense. When you get to the fourth movie in a series you pretty much can predict how it will go from the beginning. This is no exception. On the other hand though, I have seen much worse direct to DVD sequels and this one was at least entertaining enough to keep me awake. Overall, another unnecessary sequel, but one that is at least watchable. I have seen, and expected, much worse. I give this a B-.

If your not in the mood for a Drama and just want to kick back and watch a simple action fil then this is your flick. B movie, low budget but I watched it as I was going to sleep.. I didn't want to have to think and just sat back and enjoy the suspense and fun battles which do not stop. The good guy(s) protecting a beautiful Brunette w/ Blue eyed young woman and they're intent on n getting her for being a whistleblower. Eye candy, lol. This is a guys flick, few ladies will enjoy it. No back story at all lol, just good old fashioned shoot em up low budget film. If you turn it on to watch with your girlfriend or wife.. she's gonna bail on you in less than 2 minutes. Again, it's a fun watch if your in a mindless, sleepy mode and are to tired to delve into a 'real movie' then this is your show. I thought it was fun enough to rate it a 7 to offset the haters and thought enough of it to comment on it after watching it as I fell asleep last night. There are so many crappy B movies that aren't worth watching.. the names Steven Seagal, Chuck Norris and David Spade come to mind. But there's nobody you've ever seen before here and it's some simple good late night fun to keep you awake as your eyes are fading to sleep. If that's ok then give it a shot, but don't watch it as your main event if the evening, then get mad and send a silly hate review afterward. If you can't figure out before you watch it, that it's a B movie non stop action, shooting and campy type flick then you must not have checked out before you watched it😊

A great gift for someone ... if you really dislike that person.
The acting is atrocious. The producers and directors should be shot on sight. Your average 5-year-old would make a better movie in a day using a 2MP camera phone.
You're better off watching a blank screen or even paint dry to be honest. In fact, you may find yourself suicidal 30mins into this movie. It's not even suitable for background noise for the sake of background noise.
Probably the worst movie made this side of the century
Makes a perfect birthdays gift for that nasty mother-in-law or a cheating ex or a nuisance neighbor.

Forget the original movie The Marine. This movie provides a lot of action in the style of The Terminator. Sure, it will not win an Oscar but the plot is somewhat believable and the acting is good. I found it to be very entertaining.
Well, a lot of office furniture was destroyed. Another unimaginative action movie where highly trained mercenaries can't hit the broad side of a barn with their high capacity shooting sticks. Take these folks to the firing range for some training. In the meantime, the original plot and stunning dialog will not challenge you at all, so relax, there's no thinking required here. This movie was made for those who are satisfied with every standard action movie cliche.

The 4th installment of the WWE franchise film series "The Marine" finds Mike Mizanin once again at the helm as Jake Carter. Newly assigned to a private security detail for a HVP (High Value Package), he finds himself immersed in a betrayal, combatant victim and endlessly hunted throughout the film. Let's be realistic with the film shall we. The acting is dismal, the storyline is an abortion of overloaded material in many film before, the dialogue is simplistic and holds no attention. The action sequences are abysmal, the editing and cinematography are mashed together. The character development is pointless and the audience will find themselves going "what the hell" a lot in this film. Summer Rae had literally no dialogue, maybe 20 words at most, and the highlight was actually Melissa Roxbourgh.
A multi billion dollar company such as WWE sure as hell could afford better development in a film and better actors.

As an U.S. NAVY Sailor I shouldn't like Jar-heads (Stupid military tradition) but this movie is definitely an insult to Marines an all military in general. The poor acting can be questionable even by anyone who's never been in the military. Watching the first minutes of the movie let you see how predictable is going to be, and you wont be disappointed on that appreciation as you expect to be surprise thru the rest of the movie and it just keep getting more and more predictable. Hand-to-hand fights seen so fake that no even the drunkest highly trained marine would ever act like that. Mercenaries would even complained about this movie as they see how the ones in the movie hit the ground and trees 99% of the time while shooting. It just reminded me of the "The A-Team" TV Series. Any ex-military with no acting experience would have given this movie a way better "feeling."

"The Marine 4: Moving Target" succeeds as mindless entertainment. It is related only thematically to "The Marine" (2006), sharing only the basic common elements: a highly capable and decorated former marine attempting to adjust to civilian life, a damsel in distress and a group of ruthless villains with enough firepower to invade the Falklands.
It was produced on a tenth of the budget of the original and its limitations are obvious. The fight choreography is solid, although not of the caliber seen in "Furious 7" or "The Raid." Car chases are fairly lame, on the level of television dramas. The script is an embarrassment, particularly compared to the clever plots developed for the "12 Rounds" movies. Dialogue is hackneyed. Character development is essentially nonexistent. The plot is a rehash of "Eraser" without the locations, character backgrounds, special effects and (thankfully) without that ridiculous portable rail gun.
Given that they haven't anything particularly interesting to say, the actors do a credible job. Mike 'The Miz' Mizanin is believable evincing the virtues of the Marine Corps while feeling awkward in civilian life and uncertain of how to act without clear orders. Josh Blacker is convincing as the relentless, remorseless adversary. They are both adept in the fight scenes. Melissa Roxburgh is not the most gifted thespian to grace a WWE production, but is believable when she stands around looking gorgeous and slightly vulnerable. However, she wears too many clothes throughout. A little more skin would have made her seem more vulnerable and boosted the sexual tension. MacCaull and Moinet do as well as can be expected with what they're given.
The producers might have gotten more bang for their limited bucks by investing more in script development to make the characters more complex, interesting and sympathetic. As a mindless vicarious adrenalin fix, the fight scenes are satisfying and occur with sufficient frequency to compensate for the disappointing car chases and gun battles.

Audiences not hoping like this movie for another sequel.Mike 'The Miz' Mizanin better than other WWE actors. He was a hero but not look like a "First Blood".This is his 2nd but acting decent & well.He has good future.Josh Blacker acting is boring. This movie better than 1st Marine movie.last movie have not enough happy ending. But this is good come back.
Story & Dialog are impressive.Music, special effects, location, acting are most happy done.fights are choreographed with perfect. But reloading forget.car chasing are look like childish. Finally enough for video film.We waiting for another sequel from William Kaufman.

At first I was only watching it because I love Melissa Roxburgh but I came out loving it. I think it's action packed, well acted and directed well. I think the two main characters were great in writing and acting. Many people may think that choices made by characters were annoying but in a way I just think it is realistic, if you are being shot at then you might be a little more weary of the people around you. However some of the editing choices really bugged me as it was very flashy and jumpy and didn't need to be, that put aside I would give it a chance!
