- TriviaIn response to the showrunners' quest for verisimilitude, the production was granted permission (a first) to film inside the actual L.A.P.D. Hollywood Station (1358 Wilcox Avenue) where the shooting was done late in the day after most of the detectives had left. Various off-duty police volunteered their time to play extras.
- GoofsAll California emergency vehicles have to have a steady burn solid red light to the front. LAPD uses 1 of the LED pods in their roof light bar for this. Police cars in this series do not have such a light, while the in-car lights for the unmarked vehicles are correct (one red steady burn, one blue blinking).

Mrs. Shullivan and I blitzed both TV crime series starting first with Ray Donovan and then moving on to watch Bosch. Thank goodness we watched them in that order as we enjoyed every single episode of Bosch and the much stronger and varying story lines. Unlike many TV crime series where the lead actors are some twenty-something studs and beauty queens, Bosch is lead by the middle aged actor Titus Welliver who walks with a gimpy leg and lives by a set of internal rules that do not include framing criminals or hiding and/or creating false evidence.
Bosch's partner is a really cool and well dressed African American actor named Jerry Edgar (Jamie Hector) who is an excellent beat detective and valuable ally of Bosch's. In fact, the entire homicide squad adds value to the series and when Bosch is not in the scene the supporting characters can admirably carry their scenes so that each episode is a story within itself.
We blitzed Bosch, just like we had previously blitzed Ray Donovan. The difference is Bosch is by far the superior TV crime/drama series and I rated it two steps above Ray Donovan.
Mrs. Shullivan and I heard rumors that the Bosch series was making another comeback and we could not be more pleased about this rumor. I give the series a favorable 8 out of 10 IMDb rating.
