The novels that the series was based on were written by Kurt Seyit's granddaughter. They, in turn, were based on a true story of Nermin Bezmen.
In 2011, "Bir Gunah Gibi" series which not a direct adaptation of second novel "Kurt Seyt ve Murka", was broadcast on ATV. The series stars Burak Hakki, Hande Soral, Ozge Borak, Serkan Altunorak. But It cancelled due to low ratings.
