The role of Paul Murphy was originally a different actor when shooting began. Devin Sanclemente was eventually cast as the replacement, and some of the scenes were re-shot.
The chair in which Natalia Samoylova is sitting during the make-up scene is the exact same chair in which the late Fr. William Netstrater is sitting in the poster for "Cathedral of the North Shore".
The dungeon scenes were filmed in the boiler room of St. Joseph's Church in Wilmette. The church was the subject of Jolls' previous documentary "Cathedral of the North Shore".
The ending chase scene was heavily inspired by the films of Paul Greengrass.
Many of the actors on the various sets are prominent Chicago-based actors who are playing themselves in the movie.
