The 1975 has announced a fall tour of North America. The band began their series of concerts last year in support of their 2022 album, Being Funny in a Foreign Language.
This is the group’s second time going on tour with the album, having previously embarked on their first At Their Very Best tour in October 2022 in the U.S. They then moved around the U.K., Latin America, Asia, Australia and Europe.
The tour transformed throughout its initial run in the U.S., featuring evolving setlists and surprise guest appearances from Phoebe Bridgers and Bleachers.
It remains to be seen what the band will do for their performances this time around.

UFO Distribution has acquired French rights to the animated family tale “Perlimps” by Alê Abreu, the Oscar-nominated director of “The Boy and the World.”
Sold by Best Friend Forever, “Perlimps” is having its market premiere at the Marché du Film in Cannes and is set to world premiere at Annecy Animation Film Festival.
The film will be released by Sony Pictures in Latin America with a joint distribution in Brazil together with Vitrine Filmes.

Brussels-based company Best Friend Forever has acquired “Coma,” the latest film by celebrated French director Bertrand Bonello (“Saint Laurent”). “Coma” will have its world premiere premiere at the Berlin Film Festival in the Encounters section.
Weaving genre, animation and live action, the stylish movie boasts an exciting cast including Louise Labeque (“Zombi Child”) and Julia Faure (“Camille Rewinds”), with voices by beloved late actor Gaspard Ulliel, as well as Louis Garrel, Laetitia Casta, Anaïs Demoustier and Vincent Lacoste.

The Irish famine thriller will be remade in English.
Tom Sullivan’s Irish famine-set thriller Arracht (Monster) has been optioned for a US remake by Greg Shapiro’s Kingsgate Films and Patrick Milling-Smith and Brian Carmody of Smuggler. Shapiro is best known as the Oscar-winning producer of The Hurt Locker.
The remake of the Irish-language feature will be in English.
The deal comes in advance of the Irish film’s release in US cinemas (for which no date is yet set) by Gravitas Ventures. Porter Pictures is handling international sales. The film will be released in Irish cinemas by Breakout Pictures on October 15th.

After six and half years, Screen Australia head of Indigenous Penny Smallacombe will depart the agency in June.
Smallacombe joined Screen Australia in 2014, and during her tenure has helped shepherd to screen some of the Indigenous Department’s most high-profile projects, including ABC series Mystery Road and Total Control, feature films Sweet Country and Goldstone, and documentaries Maralinga Tjarutja, Looky Looky Here Comes Cooky and She Who Must Be Loved.
The highly-regard executive also stewarded the “The Next 25 Years” – the Indigenous department’s new strategy, the culmination of extensive consultation that occurred throughout the department’s 25th anniversary year (2018).
