The original light novel received a manga adaptation by Kiiro Akashiro in November 2021 serialized by Shounen Ace Plus , which discontinued last June. A new manga adaptation by Yutaka Sakurai launched in the same magazine in March 2023. The first volume went on sale in October that year.
Based on a cyberpunk humorous fantasy light novel series written by Murasaki Daigo and illustrated by Kureta. Murasaki won the Grand Prize at the 33rd Fantasia Taisho with the title Ken to Maou no Cyberpunk in 2020. He renamed the work to Maou 2099 and began publishing it under the Fujimi Fantasia Bunko label in January 2021 with illustrations by Kureta.
