(MINOR SPOILERS AHEAD) Personally, I never understood why The Callisto Protocol has been hated so much since it's release. The only problems I found in almost 15 hours of playtime have to do with technical flaws (especially on Final Transmission) on the PS4. Except that, the story was pretty interesting (DLC included), It is a very atmospheric games that will not get you bored easily since you use many different weapons and you make progress through many different places of the Black Iron prison. Lastly I really liked the Idea of giving Jacob a Kinetic Hammer forcing you to practice your melee skills on regular monsters and then challenging you to a fight with the final boss which will piss you off but if you learn it's moves it is just time consuming to beat and nothing more. The fact that the developers let you figure out what exactly happened at the ending is something I always like in games and movies. Callisto Protocol+Final Transmission is a very nice and interesting Horror Adventure game that has been overhated because it is worse compared to most of the games of the Dead Space franchise. When will people start judging games independently? To sum up, I believe you should give it a go with The Callisto Protocol since it's a game that mostly depends on your personal preferences and aesthetics.
