Featured review
If Bree Mills' "Pure Taboo" series had a writing room, I suspect a prime directive conceived and adhered to there would be: "The more farfetched the better: stress illogical human behavior". I'm not talking about how MAGA believers process propaganda from their Dear Leader, but how the nonsensical scripts for this porn series are devised and approved.
Title scene is simple enough, too simple in fact to be interesting. Victoria Voxxx has a deadline for work (an hour away) and her laptop is frozen - a familiar dilemms where the cursor is locked, no tabs will open and it seems impossible to turn off the machine. She phones the IT department and Jay Smooth offers to solve her problem, his first suggestion is that familiar panacea: hold down the power button to turn it off. She's already tried that (duh!) but over the phone Jay keeps stalling and injecting personal remarks that anyone, especially in todays MeToo era in the workplace, would hear as alarm bells going off.
But in this stupid, badly written story, frazzled Victoria (we know she's upset because her hairdo is a real mess!) makes faces but maintains unbending faith in any nonsense Jay says. After all, he's a colleague at work and trustworthy, right?
To cut to the chase in this ridiculously long (50 minutes) one-note vignette, she gives him her address, he visits and manages to quickly seduce her. The hot and heavy sex on her couch ends in a very sloppy facial worthy of Rodney Moore's gonzo "Creme de la Face" porn series, and a nude Jay hands her the laptop -all fixed! Victoria is satisfied, though even with a Daylight Saving Time fall backward I don't see how she could have met her deadline. Also, her valiant attempt at acting didn't make any of her actions seem reasonable in the slightest.
"My Cousin, the Creep" is similarly absurdist, cerainly by accident not on purpose. Both vignettes were directed by the Anatomik Team, only interested in fulfilling fetishes on screen, not logical narratives (before surfacing in the porn mainstream, they for years created custom fetish porn videos for anybody).
Beautiful Jamie Michelle and nonentity James Sinner have NonSex roles as star Sophia Burns' parents. The vignette opens with them berating her for being a lazybones, sitting around the house post-graduation, doing nothing and not contributing to family finances at all. Instead of booting her out, they inform her that a cousin (Robby Echo) is coming to stay and will be paying rent but due to space limitations she'll have to share her bedroom with him. Tough noogies.
Robby shows up -the actor has curly hair dyed blonde, not the usual Robby Echo. He seems tongue-tied and incredibly shy, but is soon pestering Sophia around the house. Scene's logic is suddenly thrown out the window, as instead of being repelled by him (and the situation forcing her to share her room), she takes him upstairs, strips and initiates sex with him. She's thrilled, but I was less so, as the Anatomiks manage to shoot a long XXX scene without properly spotlighting Burns' most famous asset, her big rump. The coda to the scene is very silly black humor.
My biggest issue with this clunker is not obvious to the caual viewer. The vignette was shot at the "Immoral Proposal" mansion, a distinctive, sprawling place with its iconic spiral staircase shown for Robby's arrival scene. It has innumerable bedrooms, so the central concept of the script that Sophia must share her bedroom is utterly ridiculous.
