The commander of the army issued a circular letter to the soldiers requiring them not to tease the series S.E.R.E.G.

"The Commander of MH ÖKMP mb calls the attention of the Staff to refrain from negative comments and comments in connection with the series S.E.R.E.G. in view of the above-mentioned legislation and order."
- writes the commander of the MH Joint Special Operations Command (MH ÖKMP) in his circular sent to soldiers. 444 learned about the letter, and the newspaper writes that according to the legislation cited therein, the above request does not apply only to professional soldiers, and civilian and volunteer reservists are not allowed to criticize the series running on TV2.
According to a passage of Government Decree No. 137/2024 (VI.28) on the status of defence forces, a military officer may not "engage in any activity or conduct that does not meet the moral expectations related to military service, violates the rules of military ethics, is unworthy of the service relationship, or would endanger his impartial activity free from influence".
According to 444, however, it is not clear what this letter actually is, since the word command does not appear in it, but rather can be understood as an order from the commander.
S.E.R.E.G. was produced jointly by the Ministry of Defence, Megafilm and TV2 and received a total of 865 million forints in state funding, while the Hungarian Defence Forces provided locations and military equipment (combat vehicles, drones and helicopters) for the shooting.
