It is adapted from a Japanese light novel series written by Shinogi Kazanami. The series began publication on the novel posting website Shosetsuka ni Narou in 2013. It was later acquired by AlphaPolis, who began publishing the series in print with illustrations by Makai no Juunin on December 27, 2013. Volumes 10 and 11 were illustrated by KeG and volumes 12+ have been illustrated by Akira Banpai.
