"Noche de bodas" is a regular movie, a romantic comedy that manages to get some laughs, but in general it is soulless. The script and direction are by actor Osvaldo Benavides, a somewhat weak start within these roles in the art world, and he also stars in the film, as an actor he is very good. Ludwika Paleta plays a somewhat annoying character, but she does it with style. The cast includes veteran actresses such as Verónica Langer and Tony Marcín, it is a delight to see them in front of the camera showing their histrionic abilities. The cinematography and editing look like something out of a TV commercial, the music composed for the film is really bad. One scene shows computer-generated special effects for a few seconds and these are of the worst quality. "Noche de bodas" is a regular movie, to be seen only once.
I can only talk and remember how much I didn't enjoy this movie.
I went to see it with my grandmother who is a 84 year old lady, generally when I go out with her I think that only a bad meal can ruin our day, well, this movie could have been something that will ruin our very special day if not It was because the moment came when my grandmother told me how bad she thought it was and we decided to just laugh at how ridiculous the whole show we were watching seemed to us. It is unreal to me to think that there is a government institute dedicated to giving money to companies to encourage them to make films and they decide to invest in this type of films. Where can one file a complaint about this?
I have a great appreciation for Ludwika Paleta, in my mind she is a person who has done a lot for the entertainment industry in Mexico, so I really hope that they paid her a ridiculous amount of money, so that it was worth having her name be in this movie.
I give it half a star because it is literally impossible to give it zero and for it to be settled with that rating.
