- TriviaIn the Marvel Comics Universe, Zodiac is the name of a supervillain team modeled after the figures of the zodiac that first fought the Avengers. On the vial that Carter confiscates on her field mission is a symbol resembling the Zodiac Key, an advanced energy weapon that Scorpio and other members of Zodiac wield.
- GoofsAgent Carter, when attempting to recover zodiac, fires her PPK sixteen times without reloading. A PPK can hold either 9 or 10 rounds. Impossible to fire that many times without reloading.
- Quotes
Agent Flynn: You took a mission last night.
Peggy Carter: I completed a mission last night.
Agent Flynn: Without even attempting to report in or get the proper authorization?
Peggy Carter: The mission was time-sensitive.
Agent Flynn: There are protocols in place. No one is above protocol. Not even Captain America's old flame.
Peggy Carter: How dare you.
Agent Flynn: Please. Let's stop pretending, shall we? Everyone knows why you're here.
Peggy Carter: Please, enlighten me.
Agent Flynn: You were grieving, so they kept you on, so that you would feel useful. I call it "pity."
Peggy Carter: If they wanted to make me feel useful, they wouldn't have made me work with you.
- Crazy creditsThere is an after the credits scene with Dum Dum Dugan and Howard Stark
- ConnectionsEdited into Agent Carter: Now Is Not the End (2015)
Well, it was actually much, MUCH better. While Item 47 was generally enjoyable, Agent Carter is really touching. It brings some serious questions without loosing its lighter tone.
Hayley Atwell is phenomenal as Peggy Carter. Atwell just has it all - the emotional depth, the attractive looks, the cool moves - the whole package. She's playing the character with so much love, it's an absolute pleasure to watch her. Peggy is forced to live in a world of injustice and double standards. Her struggle to keep it together is wonderfully done here.
This short film feels like a mini-episode of Alias and that's one of the biggest compliments I could ever say about anything.
My only complain about it is that it's not a full-length feature film. Marvel fans deserve a female-lead full-length feature film. Peggy deserves her own full-length feature film. Atwell deserves full-length feature film. Please, Marvel, make it happen soon.
