I didn't particularly enjoy the 2013 movie "Return to Nuke 'Em High Volume 1" much, and thus was harboring no expectations to this 2017 sequel titled "Return to Return to Nuke 'Em High Aka Vol. 2". But I happened to have a chance to sit down and watch the sequel here in 2024, and opted to do so.
The storyline in "Return to Return to Nuke 'Em High Aka Vol. 2" was a scrambled and random heap if there ever was one. But hey, I am sure that the diehard fans of the Troma movies will enjoy it.
The acting performances in the movie were fair, despite the fact that the script utterly failed to entertain me. Needless to say that I wasn't familiar with the cast ensemble in the movie, aside from Lemmy and Lloyd Kaufman himself.
Visually, I will say that the movie definitely was a massive step up from the previous movie. In fact, I was surprised with the special effects in the movie. So that counted for something at least.
"Return to Return to Nuke 'Em High Aka Vol. 2" wasn't my type of movie, and it is definitely not something I will return to watch a second time. Well, at least this 2017 movie was nicer made than the 2013 predecessor. But that still doesn't make it a good movie.
My rating of "Return to Return to Nuke 'Em High Aka Vol. 2" lands on a four out of ten stars.
