Gracie Abrams is climbing the charts with her new single “That’s So True” and it looks like she’s going to have her biggest hit to-date with the song!
The song is currently at number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100, just a few weeks after being released. That’s already Gracie‘s top position on the chart after previously peaking at number 19 with “I Love You, I’m Sorry.”
“That’s So True” was released on the deluxe version of her album The Secret of Us back in October.
“You’re an idiot, now I’m sure / Now I’m positive, I should go and warn her / Ooh, bet you’re thinking, ‘She’s so cool’ / Kicking back on your couch, making eyes from across the room / Wait, I think I’ve been there too, ooh,” Gracie sings on the track.

Gracie Abrams revealed that there’s an alternate, “very vulgar” version of her song “That’s So True” during a conversation with friend and co-writer Audrey Hobert for Spotify’s “You’re Invited, I’m Sorry: An Evening with Gracie Abrams” event.

The past few years may have been a whirlwind for Gracie Abrams but she’s enjoying every moment, especially all the “firsts happening all the time.”
Though Abrams is quite busy performing in sold-out venues on her headlining tour, which kicked off earlier this month, Abrams recently took some time to chat with The Hollywood Reporter over Zoom about life, music and her aspirations… who wouldn’t love getting deep on a Monday morning?
But the “Close To You” singer-songwriter, daughter of filmmaker J.J. Abrams, was gracious enough to offer a peek inside her life, which has seen plenty of exciting milestones in recent years, from releasing her debut album, Good Riddance, last year and dropping her sophomore album, The Secret of Us, in June to opening for Taylor Swift on her Eras Tour in 2022 (and she’ll be back when Swift returns to the U.S. later this year...

Taylor Swift has achieved a new personal milestone, spending her 12th straight week at number-one on the Billboard 200 albums chart with “The Tortured Poets Department.” That makes this her longest-running chart-topper of all time. It’s also the first album by a woman ever to spend its first 12 weeks at number-one. But that means country singer Zach Bryan had to settle for number-two. Read more about this week’s chart here at Billboard.com.

“Tortured Poets” actually gained 43% to achieve 163,000 equivalent album units based on its combined record sales, individual track sales and online streams. That increase was spurred by Swift restocking several album variants in her webstore, and by the release of yet three more digital variants including exclusive bonus tracks. That meant the 137,000 album units for Bryan’s “The Great American Bar Scene” weren’t enough for number-one.

Singer Gracie Abrams revealed her good friend, Taylor Swift, extinguished a fire in her $50 million New York City apartment after a candle fell over during a dinner party.
“She was such a legend – I don’t know how at this hour or in our state she knew what to do,” Abrams told Billboard.
The singer said she enjoyed the dinner and cocktails at Swift’s Tribeca loft six months ago. During the gathering, both women heard a candle falling over, though Swift assured Abrams that it was one of her cats jumping around her home.
The following morning, they realized the kitchen had been set on fire, leading Swift to take the lead in extinguishing the fire.
“We both had an insane cough from the fire extinguisher fumes for weeks,” Abrams said.

Over the last four years, Gracie Abrams has skyrocketed to the top of every sad girl summer playlist. Her EP This Is What It Feels Like and last year’s debut album Good Riddance helped put her on the map while laying the groundwork for a fruitful collaborative relationship with Aaron Dessner. After a summer spent opening for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour and notching a Best New Artist Grammy nomination on her belt, Abrams’ songwriting is more evocative and grown up than ever, as heard on sophomore album The Secret of Us.

Taylor Swift brought Gracie Abrams out onstage Sunday night during the latest show of Swift’s Eras Tour.
Abrams, who opened for Swift’s Eras Tour last summer, released her second album, The Secret of Us, on Friday. The album features the track “Us,” a collaboration with Swift.
Onstage at London’s Wembley Stadium, Swift noted that the song was written one night when the duo were hanging out, drinking wine and talking about Abrams’ life. “And talking about your life became this song,” Swift added.
Swift played guitar, while Abrams played the piano.
After “Us,” Swift performed a second surprise song — a mashup of “Out of the Woods,” “Is It Over Now?” and “Clean.” The latter three are all featured on the album 1989 (the original and/or the released version).

According to the Taylor Swift heartbreak survival guide, 10 months is the safest bet to make when considering how long it might take to crawl out of the ruins of a past relationship. Now, the two musicians are comparing notes on “Us,” their collaboration from Abrams’ latest studio album The Secret of Us.

With a Grammy nomination for best new artist and an opening slot on Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour under her belt, 24-year-old singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams should be positioned to become pop’s next It Girl. And like many indie-pop sad girls before her, her music is marked by a vulnerability that makes her both relatable and sympathetic.
Abrams’s second studio album, The Secret of Us, offers intimate glimpses into her interior world. Lead single “Risk” tells the story of the singer’s infatuation with a man she hardly knows. Her desire, anxiety, and confusion intensify throughout the song, as she morphs from initial uncertainty to resoluteness.
Later, on “Let It Happen,” Abrams’s ambivalence becomes even clearer. “I might barely know you but still/Don’t love you yet but probably will,” she muses. Unfortunately, the instrumentation on The Secret of Us lacks dimension. Abrams’s lyrics, delivered in a whispery vocal style,...
