Judge Not is a faith based movie however it does not come across as too "preachy." The film confronted topics and situations that are often shied away from it shunned by society yet occur everyday in communities of all sizes. The cast and crew did a great job of presenting a well thought out plot. By tying together concurrent storylines, the director made it relatable to people of many generations and backgrounds.
Some scenes were a little excessive in length but otherwise the quality of the film far exceeded the allotted budget.
All in all, a high quality movie with a great storyline and valuable message for all!

"Judge Not" is a heartfelt and dramatic story exploring themes of faith, judgment, and the complexities of human relationships. The film delves into the lives of several characters facing difficult moral and personal dilemmas, emphasizing the importance of empathy, understanding, and the strength found in community and faith.
The movie weaves together multiple storylines. One key plotline involves a character named Jackie, who faces the challenge of being a single mother dealing with the repercussions of a failed relationship. Her struggles are compounded when she discovers she is pregnant, a revelation that sparks mixed reactions from her community and church. Another storyline involves a couple dealing with infertility and their decision to explore adoption, offering a poignant look at the hopes and heartaches tied to the desire for parenthood.
Central to "Judge Not" is the theme of judgment versus compassion. Characters confront their biases and preconceived notions, especially within the context of a religious community. Jackie's storyline serves as a powerful critique of how communities can often be quick to judge without understanding the full picture. The movie also touches on themes of forgiveness, love, and the resilience required to navigate life's challenges.
The characters are portrayed with depth and complexity. Jackie emerges as a strong yet vulnerable protagonist, grappling with societal expectations and personal guilt. The conversations within the church community reveal the tension between moral righteousness and genuine support. The subplot involving the couple seeking to adopt adds layers to the narrative, contrasting their journey with Jackie's predicament and highlighting different facets of family and faith.
The tone of the movie is earnest and reflective, with moments of emotional intensity. The dialogue reveals the characters' internal conflicts, and the inclusion of church scenes and songs underscores a setting deeply rooted in spiritual themes.
"Judge Not" is a compelling drama that encourages viewers to reflect on their own judgments and the importance of compassion. By presenting complex characters in morally ambiguous situations, the movie challenges simplistic views of right and wrong, instead advocating for empathy and understanding.

I throughly enjoyed this movie. The small town with genuine good hearted people that sometimes get lost in their ways and don't realize how their actions become judgment.
I can say this movie will hit home with not only the every day relationship between a man and woman but the relationship with the younger generation and the consequences, fear and decisions they are forced to make.
Not only was this movie full of laughter, but it was heartfelt with different families with different situations. The lady Sarah and her husband Jacob was an especially emotional scene for me. I struggled with conception and entertained different avenues to conceive.
The twist in the movie will surprise you! If you get a chance, you should really check this one out.

I laughed, I cried. But really, this movie hits home a point against being driven by a judgemental spirit. We need more love and grace in this world! "THE CHURCH" is called to be salt and light to the world that we live in. I believe that means that we should, show them the way to Christ and help make the bitter circumstances of life a little easier to swollow.
I love the message promoting adoption and fostering, as well as the warning to each of us as we reach out to people in our everyday circle of influence. We have no idea what people are going through from day to day. What a great lesson and reminder for each of us!

I saw Judge Not at a local theater premiere and I must say I was very impressed. The story was well written with many serious moments and moments that were light hearted and made you smile. One of the things I liked about the movie were the various characters. I found myself really liking different characters for different reasons. One in particular made me laugh. I felt the main character did a fantastic job in her portrayal of a women who finds herself in a difficult place. I love how she involved her immediate family and really listened to their thoughts. The story was written in such a way that anyone could relate to her situation, and this made it "real."
I loved how the movie made me feel like I was there. The cinematography was top notch! Great angles and scenery which brought the whole picture together.
I would recommend Judge Not to anyone. It's a nice faith-based film which tells an important story.

When I heard a local film was premiering in Kittanning, I didn't expect this level of quality from an indie production. "Judge Not" really blew me away with how professionally it was made, feeling like something you'd see on TV or in theaters. The cinematography and storytelling were impressive, and the film had a strong message. It was also really neat to recognize familiar people and places from the area, which added a special connection to the film. It's amazing to see our community come together to create something so meaningful and well-crafted. I look forward to more projects like this! Blanket Hill Productions gets two thumbs up! Keep up the great work. I can't wait to see what comes next!

Very realistic in today's world well done filming and actors. Young actors were amazing for their age. Enjoyed watching them during the premiere. The mobile film scenery was beautiful footage. It was nice to have seen the church members serving during dinner before the viewing then seeing them in the movie I knew who the volunteers were and which people were the actors. I felt I really understood her pain and suffering after the way the church administrative staff responded to her informing them she was no longer married and pregnant with two teenagers at home. The actress really responded well to their down right poor attitude from Cristian church members and leaders.

This is a nicely produced faith film focused on the "ideals" our faithful church members are to uphold, and the realities that we are all sinners, and fail to meet those goals.
The story starts with our recently divorced mother of three discovering that she is pregnant from a failed post-divorce relationship. She realizes that another child in the family would be a massive difficulty. In today's society there are several choices this mother could make including abortion. Predictably, as a faith film, this option is examined & regarded as the least desirable outcome.
Despite the seriousness of the subject, the film is not 'preachy' as another reviewer put it. It places all the options on the table, and follows her as she explores each, with her family & close friend. The drama intensifies when she shares her secret struggle with the members of her church, and we witness the reactions from several points of view within that small, tight knit community.
Nestled well in the main story are two side plots embracing similar issues.
Overall it is an enjoyable film with humor and pathos in a church setting which grounds it to the author's honest faith & convictions.

These days it is often difficult to have conversations about serious subjects because so many people are easily offended. The topic of how a church family reacts to and copes with tough topics like teen pregnancy, mid-life unplanned pregnancy, infertility and adoption are sensitive subjects to portray on screen.
"Judge Not" beautifully weaves together the personal stories of multiple church members as they confront controversial problems that test their faith.
When you sit down to watch an independent film, you are in a critical mood and feel a little uneasy, wondering how it will compare with a big budget, mainstream film. Your expectations are low.
As a filmmaker, I was very pleasantly surprised and blown away by the minute attention to detail of the overall production. There wasn't a close up or a film edit out of place. "Judge Not" is a film that was expertly crafted.
The stories of the characters are handled with compassion and care as we watch them learn many important life lessons.
Heartwarming, thought provoking and inspirational!

I saw this at a local church for the premiere and it was amazing! There were parts that made me tear up and parts that made me laugh. A perfect blend of elements but even better, a great message.
The topic is very controversial especially in the modern world but I think they did a great job of avoiding the political triggers that often ruin an otherwise great movie.
I look forward to seeing this movie on streaming as soon as it's out. I'm seeing there are some more local showings. It's definitely worth reserving a couple hours of free time to go watch this movie. Great job to everyone who made this!

I had the pleasure of screening 'Judge Not' at a local theatre on a Sunday afternoon and the room was filled with attendees plus cast and crew, as a question-and answer session was held afterwards.
The film was enjoyable, beautifully shot and edited, and featured believable performances. While a faith-based film, it wasn't heavy-handed and dealt with situations that resonate with everyone.
Anyone struggling with pregnancy, faith, adoption or persecution are likely familiar with the themes explored in this film. It's characters are relatable, and the main stories touch on some uncomfortable situations many people face. With both light-hearted and dramatic touches, it's no surprise that there was ample applause once the credits rolled.

I'm always leery of indie or low budget movies. Maybe because I grew up with many of Hollywood's golden standard movies and I've become spoiled, in a matter of speaking.
All that aside, I have to say the group that made this movie packed a few pleasant surprises.
The cinematography was nicely done with some of the camera angles nailing perfection. The acting was good in some places and incredible at other times. The audio work was amazing; a testament that indies don't have to sound like they were ahoy in a fish tank. The story itself was something that needs to be made more aware. Kudos to the cast and crew!

I'm not very good at writing reviews and six hundred characters is a lot for me but I really feel this movie deserves the effort. I saw Judge Not at a theater a while back and was thoroughly impressed! The cinematography was done well with camera placement spot on. The acting was near perfection in some scenes; especially with the lead actors but overall the entire cast was believable. The situations portrayed were very relatable to real life societal entanglements. The thing that stood out the most, for me at least, was the audio. Dialogue was well balanced the background music didn't overpower it. Great job to everyone!
